Remind me again why I'm not a millionaire.

Cos if you're looking for an album to redo with that theme, it's surely gotta be South of Heaven.

For that reason, I'm afraid I'm out.

No interest in this at all. No Abbot brothers = No Pantera. End of.

Yes maybe Gruntruck supported I'd say it was 92. Good gig iirc I think they supported Megadeth the following year perhaps

I'd go see a Gruntruck reunion for sure.

Benante and Wylde apparently confirmed, along with the blessing of the Abbot's estates . Who I imagine will be getting a tidy cut.

I'm by no means a Pantera fan but I think with the right supports (which given Anselmo's tastes could be interesting) even I'd go see this out of curiosity when it inevitably hits the 3 Arena. I've missed all the other big  legendary names over the years bar Slayer so why not.

Something like Portal wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. He always tried to bring up and coming bands on tour with him that he liked. In a way he is partly responsible for Satyricon blowing up even though that ended being a bad thing since the band turned to shit after Volcano.

Saw a thing recently as well that Phil is regular customer at Hells Headbangers.

Fingers crossed for a set consisting only of 'Power Metal' in full and 2 or 3 songs off Cowboys From Hell...a man can dream.

The Abbott brothers were fairly shit without Anselmo and Brown though. I could more do without Vinnie than Dime while I'm thinking about it.

Disappointed it's Wylde on guitar, but I can see why they might want to add a bit of extra star power to sell tickets. If he keeps it close to the source material it could be great. If he plays like himself though it would be a pretty frustrating gig to sit through...

3 Arena, really though, would it sell out for this?

Can you really call it a reunion if half the band are fuckin dead!

No, especially if that half of the band formed the actual band. Best of luck to all involved though.

Support on tour is The Beatles.

I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd a few years back and it was literally only one original member out of a 6-piece band. One of the guitarists, and not even one of the good ones... Though they did have the original singer's brother on vocals, which I guess they imagine lends it some kind of extra authenticity?

I wonder would people have a better view of this if it was promoted as more a tribute to the two dead boyos along the lines of Death to All?

Might seem a tiny bit disingenuous given they weren't exactly on good terms at the times of the others' deaths, and now plan to make money off the legacy.
