Pantera A.D? PantNEWera? PanTOURera?!!
Phil, Rex Without The Cowboys From Hell?!  :-X  :abbath:

Shamtera

Got to meet Phil after the first Down reunion show in Manchester in 06 and he was an absolute gent. Sat on the steps of the tour bus after the gig and stayed there for almost 4 hours signing stuff, chatting to people and taking photos. Over the years I have always seen nothing but good words from people who met Dimebag as well.

Also saw a story on another forum from a guy who's band played at one of the Housecore festivals he said Phil rented out an entire floor in a hotel for all the bands that played, supplied them with free drink and after the festival was over he came to hotel that night and partied with them. Plenty of dicks out there but Phil doesn't seem like one of them.

First shows taking place in South America soon. Some European dates announced unsurprisingly nothing for Ireland doesn't even seem to be an English date.

No North American headline shows either. All they seem to be playing is the first nights on the American leg of those 2 day Metallica shows.

Think I will head to one of the European shows not taking the chance as they may end up being the only dates.

That would be my choice also. Love that album

Missed this, yeah I'd be there with bells on

Saw a few clips over the last few days and then watched the first few tunes earlier on but had to turn it off during Strength Beyond Strength. Exactly as I suspected, Zakk Wylde does his own thing. I'd still consider going if it was here but my expectations of anything from Pantera went down with the twin towers

Ah shite does he really? No joking can he not just do the dime impression and be done with it. Look at what benante said about the drumming fair play to him

Solo in A New Level is wank, the verse riff in Mouth For War sounded off, solo was in or around the original but still off and Strength Beyond Strength was a mess so turned off.

Benante was beat perfect in all I saw, fair play to him.

I mean, once you've made your nest egg by systematically butchering Randy Rhoads' solos live for three decades, why would you suddenly think another guitarist deserved better?

They should have gone the route that was done with other musicians, and brought them back as holograms.
Deep Down Six Feet, Is Where I Like To Eat

That's the first gig they have done together so maybe it'll get better. The clips I saw looked good but whichever songs I looked at didn't have mental Zakk pinch harmonics.
