If it happens, Zakk Wylde is simultaneously the obvious choice for this and also what would turn me off it the most.

I'm fairly sure it's actually Andy Cunningham stepping in. The whole "I'm moving to Australia" thing was a ruse , he's been in a shed in Phil's back garden for the last 18 months practicing his shredding.

Also I saw someone post about this Pantera reunion on Instagram earlier and presumed it was a joke. Weird.

I too thought it had to be bullshit without the Abbott brothers but it seems like the 2 lads are going for it. It's like this, the one time I was going to see them out was cancelled due to 9/11 so if it does happen I'll go have a look at it. Also agree Zakk Wylde is a bit off putting but fuck it it'll have to do. That video he has about him and Dime as young lads is cringy shit

Who's chance the drums? Odds are it'll be the lads from Anselmo's band but if they were going for big names... Benante? They were mates, Diamond played on a couple of Anthrax albums. Assuming they're not busy themselves of course. I'd have though Scott Ian might have a hand in it but he's strictly a rhythm guitarist, isn't he?

Pointless speculation, obviously.

Tis all in the link man, Benante and all.

Also if they did, they won't tour as 'Pantera' surely?

Ah right, I didn't know there were details out, beyond 'Rex and Phil cash in'.

Great news. Phil has been doing Pantera songs during illegal shows for years so not that big of a surprise but the thoughts of actually going to see Pantera in somewhere like the 3 arena now being an actual possibility is something I never thought would happen.

If Vinne Paul was still alive he never would have been part of this and I am sure would have done whatever he could to stop it from happening. He always blamed Phil for what happened.

Suppose if Queen replaced Freddie Mercury and John Deacon...

Partera has to be for the win

This doesn't surprise me. With no one left to kick him out of the band Anselmo is on to a winner. The only thing that is shocking is that he had the tact to wait until the corpses of his former band mates cooled first.

Ah yeah the 2 lads had to be dead for sure
