Apologies if it's already in the thread but any good films/docs on Led Zeppelin? Either whole career or single album/period based?

There we go now:

Thanks for the rec on that Woodstock 99 doc, it made for perfect break viewing today. Have to say though, as interesting as it was, by the end of it I felt I might break some shit myself if I heard one more stretched beyond the limit woke take on why what happened happened. The organizers should have known that with the bands they were billing they would need to up security, proper security, and - of course - if your amenities collapse, your crowd are going to be pissed off. But, from that, you can't conclude, as happens over and over again in the doc, that the only possible outcome of a festival with metal bands playing is chaos. I mean, as weird in itself as the protracted ad for Coachella was at the end, no one thought to mention the countless nu-style metal bands that have played at that, including RATM the very same year!

Anyway, it was fun and unexpected to see Mustaine spit on Lars over Napster, although that the Napster bit was included made me think they were going to show some frat-boys marching about bellowing "FUCK LARS!" No such luck.
The journalist from Spin who tried to wrap everything in a sociology sandwich? She got on my nerves as well watching it.

I said it to herself during our viewing, it was quite scientific what happened, a lot of it. You can hum and haw about why these young fellas wanted to rip down the staging, but fundamentally you let
them get to your staging.

No control. The chief organiser came across like a right prick as well.

Watching the ZZ Top one on Netflix. I got halfway through and I'll finish it tomorrow. I'm enjoying it even though I know next to nothing about their music. They seem like good dudes.

Enjoyed the ZZ Top documentary.

Will have to check out the Woodstock 99 one. Had a load of sets from that taped from Network 2. Korn, RATM, Metallica and a few others.

He did.

Not just the journalist from Spin, also the one from the NYT, and Moby, and at least one of the other main commentators. I mean, sure, Durst comes off as a complete dose too, but, well, that's not exactly a scoop

Dya see his new look? Bizarre paedo chic.

Yup. Seems a fairly logical progression.

I woke up this morning with a mash-up of a song by Anacrusis and Break Stuff in my head. Interesting mental musical state.

Moby is fucking insufferable. Have you seen the recent documentary (Moby.doc)? I didn't realise until I watched it that he was the driving force behind it, and the levels of smugness and self satisfaction are off the scale. It's bizarre that it got released at all, it's so bad.

Broken Hope Documentary is a decent watch even if you're not a fan. [url]https://www.google.com/search?q=broken.hope.documentary&oq=broken.hope.documentary&aqs=chrome..69i57.9295j0j7&client=ms-android-samsung-ss&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#/url]

Watched that Rammstein documentary Amerika yesterday. An entertaining watch all round, with some unusual talking head appearances. Fuckin' Moby again!

Actually kinda interesting, compared to the Woodstock '99 doc, since they talk a fair bit about their '98/'99 Family Values tour with Korn and Limp Bizkit, but which is all presented in a totally positive light. Again, goes to show, shit preparation was really the culprit that Woodstock weekend.

The Gibson Icons series has been good so far. Dave Mustaine's one was uploaded yesterday.

Will give that a go. Enjoyed the Hammett and jerry Cantrell ones, despite neither having a whole lot to do with Gibson guitar-wise.

Watched it this morning. Mustaine talking Megadeth history for an hour, watchable. The most impressive thing about it is how he manages to go through the entire history of the band without once, not a single time, mentioning current persona non grata. Mental and typically pathetic behavior from him. Had a wank? Well, now you no longer exist.
