The thing itself is interesting but your man in the video is dense.  I was assuming Astfgyl there wanted a non-conspiratorial answer anyway, that's all I wanted to see it for.  I've seen weirder geological shit in the flesh than something that looks like a flat panel on Google Maps so yeah I am also guessing volcanic.
