If I recall correctly the more rotund chap there isn't in the band, he's their security guard. I distinctly remember seeing him in action at Chaos Descends years ago when one of them got into a disagreement, but I can't remember specifics because...well, I was shitfaced at the time.

Anyway, today I'm thinking about how a lot of the Gathering's early stuff is basically Faith No More played really slowly and with different vocals. Put death metal vocals over "Smaller and Smaller" and you've got most of the first LP (I mean the second album where they got the Patton impersonater in makes this real obvious but still..)

Does anyone know when tickets on Ticketmaster usually become available for resell/transfer? I've got 2 tickets for Metallica in November I'm trying to get rid of but still showing as 'tickets unavailable' with the resell/transfer options greyed out? I tried contacting them but not response.

Think it has to be closer to the date  before the resell option triggers.

Black Sabbath - Forbidden is actually a decent album.

At what age should you stop wearing heavy metal tshirts when and about in public, especially if you don't particularly look like a metaller anymore, ultimately the question is when do you look like a complete dick?

I'll be 50 in a couple of months and I wear them a lot, I only really started buying them again when I hit 40 and the midlife crisis hit. I don't look like a metal person much anymore since I cut the hair. To be fair, I live in T-shirts anyway and I'm sure I look like a dick but I don't particularly care what it looks like.

Wear what you want and fuck the begrudgers.

I wear metal tshirts every day. Gorgoroth 'Pentagram' tshirt today. I'm 43 and fucked if I'm changing my ways now; I shall bend the world to my will(ybum).

I have regressed since my early 30s, obviously, as I have continued to buy metal t-shirts and donated my normie ones to charity. Outside of metal t-shirts, the only other t-shirts I wear are Liverpool/Limerick jerseys. I couldn't give a fuck what people might think.

Oh that willybum of yours, always getting you in trouble.

46 and metal t-shirts is basically all I wear.  Today I have a Sacred Reich one on, yesterday was Tank, and I think Tuesday was Candlemass.

Aye, 48 and most of my wardrobe is metal/punk/noise band shirts. Not sure I wear them every day but most, probably.
I do get fed up sometimes and need to have a clear out. And sure then I just end up buying more. Definitely have one or two I can't wear any more that I can't throw out .

Hmm..I might actually just be a hoarder..

44 and haven't stopped wearing band merch since my teens.

Have started to shift a few of the ones that don't fit on Vinted which will be used to finance more records and merch 😂

the most ridiculous thing about us all wearing metal shirts all the time is..well..the irish climate
