Yeah, I don't remember sweatshirts being a thing back in the day, but I have a Primitive Man one now that I wear a lot, dead comfy.
Going back to the age thing, I'm 48 and wear metal tees/hoodies most days of the week, the lads in work get a kick out of trying to decipher the band logos...except when I wear my Godflesh one, they're always disappointed when I wear that...

Heading for 49 in couple of months and still wearing merch tees every day. Whether at work or the weekend.

Even got a bit of stick for it at work a few years back but said fuck it and kept wearing them. They introduced a dress code policy but then also a gender and equality policy. So I told them if they think it's OK for me to turn up in a skirt or dress if I need to feel 'safe, comfortable and included' then I'm just keep wearing my tees.

Whenever I get a bit dressed up for an event or family dinner scenario my kids look at me like I've two heads.
"You look weird! Put on a t-shirt, will ya?"

The vocals on Altars of Madness and the first deicide are more intelligible than Don't break the Oath.

Yeah, down the pub night before we came back to France last week and one of the lads started trying to have a go at me still wearing metal shirts. "Chap," says I "your top looks like something a ma would have ordered for her husband out of a Damart catalogue back in the 90s." That shut him up fast. His wife said nothing either

I pretty much only own metal shirts here too and either black jeans or shorts.  It works, I don't have to think much about it, and for work I just wear a plain black tee instead.

I do have some range of jumpers too though I fuckin love an auld jumper

Quote from: Carnage on August 03, 2025, 09:14:49 PMI yad a Fear Factory football syle top at one stage, fucking loved it at the time. There was a Sepultura one too, in Brazilian colours.

An old friend of mine met her husband as they were both sauntering up the street a good 22 years ago pissed as farts and she says "cool Sepultura shirt" to his Brazil shirt with the logo. Sepultura being his favourite band.

I can only read this in the voice of Matt Berry.

I'd quite like some kind of David Lee Roth branded cravat, or perhaps a King Diamond top hat for special occasions. I've got a wedding come up in October , get to it merch people.

Surely a Tribulation knitted scarf could be doable for the upcoming colder months? God knows people certainly had plenty to say about their neckwear a few years back

They're my three favourite bands... and Sabbath and Celtic Frost make up the Top 5   :abbath:

Deadly, must watch that.

Listening to Believer's debut album here and, once again, can't help but chuckle at the places where the singer bellows "Jesus Christ", presumably intending it to be in reverence, but it just sounds like someone angrily shouting... JESUS CHRIST!

Nobody, like actually nobody means it the way that Billy Graziadei does.

Even on the worst possible Biohazard song, he means it like nobody else does
