Indeed, and shorts and flipflops on top of it (which was a genius move while I was spraying the weeds with Round Up earlier).

Death metal Aran jumpers might be a niche market, but worth looking into.

Fuck Irish weather, once it kicks into July I'm reluctant to wear full length pants, much to the wife's annoyance.

Wrong side of 50 and when I'm not wearing metal shirts, it's football/NFL shirts, even for work.

That sort of thing encourages hipsters!

The timing of Ozzy's death. Did he really die then, or did he die earlier, and Sharon pulled off the ultimate Weekend at Bernie's with his corpse?

I think she had the tickets booked to Switzerland before the concert was announced.

Well she'll be using their banks to hide her cut of the charity money.

On the subject of metal tees and merch in general, is it just me or are metal jumpers or sweaters a bit odd? I could be wrong but I don't really remember these being a thing back in the day but they seem to fairly prevalent in merch stores these days. T-shirts...grand. Hoodies...likewise. Sweaters...just no. And I'm not sure exactly why, I mean they're effectively just hoodies without the hood.

The sweatshirts were definitely a thing with merch companies in the 80s & 90s, but they've made a bit of a comeback for sure.

They're grand. Cheaper than feckin' hoodies too!

The brother had a Massacre Fron Beyond sweater/jumper that he wore to death back then, never really saw them outside of that. Wouldn't be my cup of tea TBH, even longsleeves I don't go for anymore, I think I have one now.

Yeah, that's mad...not doubting you or anything but I genuinely can't recall seeing them at any gigs. That said, I may well have and just mistook them for long sleeves. Branded shorts...now those I do remember!! They were naff then and still are. Thankfully a rarity.

Occasionally the old Blue Grape/Emp/Nuclear Blast catalogues turn up on Instagram usually posted by some bootlegger drumming up interest on what they'll do next.

Thankfully stupid all over prints seem to stay in the 90s😂

The all-over prints were bad alright. Similarly, there was horrible tie-dye fad which thankfully remained with the 90s.
I can remember being young, stupid and yearning to get an awful Blue Grape Fear Factory ice-hockey jersey which, unfortunately, was a thing. And I have a vague notion that it cost about £40 which was huge money back then (shop in Queens Old Castle for the Cork heads).

I remember that hockey jersey fad. I actually got a Metallica one but an ex took it on me. The thing goes for a few hundred quid on ebay now!

I had a Fear Factory football syle top at one stage, fucking loved it at the time. There was a Sepultura one too, in Brazilian colours.
