Audioslave were fucking dismal in fairness.

Both Audioslave and Velvet Revolver were complete muck.

Didn't Schaefer have his Dealz version of Alice in Chains when Atheist were kaput?

That first Audioslave album was decent. Appears it was a total fluke though.

Aye, it was pretty good. The second one was crap, didn't bother with the third. Velvet Revolver were poor alright though, the sum of the parts was better than the whole.

I thought that Velvet Revolver's first album was only ok when it came out, but I enjoy it more each year. Good catchy songs and great guitar parts, I think it's a great album now. Never got into the second one.

Some tepid Dracula drama with surprise BMSS member reveal.

A fair reaction would also be "Who?" .

Bit late here but just thinking about both Audioslave and Velvet Revolver and how completely disappointing they both really were to me, given who was in them. Just two of the blandest things imaginable really

He goes into the audition story on the I Hate Music podcast.

Are you sure that's not an amateur wrasslin' promo?

I got reminded of the Mutilated messiah/NunSlaughter split 7" today after the guy from NS mentioned mentioned on Dead by Dawg as one that didn't turn out as he'd hoped. I remember growing up and thinking it was a weird release, an irish band no one seemed to talk about, that had only released a tape limited to 50, were somehow on a NunSlaughter split released on Hells Headbanger's. I know a NS split is a dime a dozen (I think they have 80+  ) and it's not really a claim to fame being associated with NunSlaughter but Mutilated Messiah seemed pretty obscure, is it like a pay to play kinda thing with NS splits or was there some connection? Is anyone from MM on here?

I have that 7" too. Looks cool. I can't remember what the music sounds like so maybe I'll root it out for an airing.
