I think they started using blast beats in 2012 with that Native Blood song, if I'm not mistaken?

Sounds like it was written by AI. They've done nothing of merit since The Gathering. Another band for the couldn't be bothered thread.

I love when albums have a bit of amp noise at times etc. Was listening to Dead Congregation - Graves of the Archangels a lot this week...and there's a fair bit of it. So much better than a lot of ultra clean modern plug in metal productions.

Backxwash is excellent, but has nothing to do with black metal.

The only thing worse than NSBM is lefty black metal/RABM and I say that as a lefty myself. Piss poor musically.Satan or fuck off!!
