I like that track.

I think they started using blast beats in 2012 with that Native Blood song, if I'm not mistaken?

Quote from: Mithrandir on August 21, 2025, 09:39:54 PMNew Testament song, if someone played this for me I wouldn't have guessed it was Testament. I haven't kept up with and modern Testament, have they been incorporating blast beats like that before??

Sounds like it was written by AI. They've done nothing of merit since The Gathering. Another band for the couldn't be bothered thread.

Sounds like what they were doing on their 'Low' album. Which I fucking love, so more than happy with this track.

Quote from: ochoill on August 20, 2025, 03:16:45 PMDunno where else to put it again but this was the natural culmination of a different conversation about two certain albums earlier and it belongs nowhere else.

That Testament song is grand.

i enjoyd it as well.. also a big big fan of Low..going to throw it on now ta fuck

I love when albums have a bit of amp noise at times etc. Was listening to Dead Congregation - Graves of the Archangels a lot this week...and there's a fair bit of it. So much better than a lot of ultra clean modern plug in metal productions.

Backxwash is excellent, but has nothing to do with black metal.

The only thing worse than NSBM is lefty black metal/RABM and I say that as a lefty myself. Piss poor musically.Satan or fuck off!!

Speaking of the UK media and bm related clowns:

I think this is my first encounter with the acronym RABM  :eyeroll:

And once again a thousand profiles share this article with "This is why we gatekeep" on their socials with the pitchforks at the ready!

It was hardcore lads a few weeks ago when Turnstile released their record.

Guardian stoked to bits with the engagement and ad revenue.

Tappin' into that sweet corpse paint dollar?   :abbath:

That's (obviously) a new one on me.
