He's good, I dunmo about flash.  ;)

Had The Varangian Way on earlier and was wondering whatever happened with Turisas?

I remember them being fairly big during the whole folk metal explosion of the late 00s, early 10s, but then they just seemed to disappear completely

This time of year, whenever I'm out for a stroll by the river, or in the woods, or anywhere with a bit greenery really, my brain automatically goes into "scanning for a potential death/ doom/ gothic metal album cover mode".

Just heard the new Clawfinger song. Back in the awful, awful mid-90's they always seemed to be on the cusp of doing something interesting but the lyrics were and, based on the new stuff, seemingly always will be, just on the wrong side of excruciating, toe-curling cringe. What an achievement!

I was walking past a local primary school on my way to the library a few minutes ago and a young lad, around ten or eleven says, "nice Mayhem tshirt!"

There's hope for the future.

Ten or eleven?! That's impressive alright.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

When you've a holiday booked, and then a few weeks before you go, a band announce they're playing in that city the day after you fly out.  :-\

That needs to be in the Metal Pet Peeves thread

Yeah, I had both threads open at the same time, and posted that in this one. My bad.

Was just saying. Not having a go. Fits in here too, I suppose.
