Hmm, some great tracks alright but overall probably one for the lads in the tractors. And more power to 'em. Beats the 2FM shite they usually inflict on themselves and the rest of us.

Actually, didn't notice the latter discs, it's not a bad comp at all overall,  I'll upgrade to a lorry driver tunes, any comp that just  goes for Paranoid from Sabbath ..,well...

Just grabbed it for a fiver from Momox

I think it was 1990 when I got a copy of this. Acid Reign, Dream Theater alongside House Of Lords and Magnum was so diverse. And with Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, it covered a lot.

Yeah, the sequencing leaves a lot to be desired, it screams pub jukebox. I listened to it a lot back in the walkman days, as a result every time I listen to The Ace Of Spades I expect Breaking The Law to kick in afterward.

Fair play lads, I never heard of it at all

Lisa Dominique, for fuck sake

Ah yeah, but she's not on there because of her singing, that's for sure

Panzerfaust - The Suns of Perdition
                          Chapter 1: War, Horrid war
                          Chapter 3: The Astral Drain

I had this as well! Features my favourite Anthrax and Exodus songs.

My 16 year old mind clearly didn't register Rush, maybe as Prime Mover is not a great choice for a hard rock/metal compilation.

I had that one too, my aul lad picked it up.

She is one of the ones I have never heard off.

Black Sabbath- Cross Purposes. If the box set has come with proper inlays I wouldn't have to ask this, but here we are. Is that Jerry Cantrell singing, and possibly also playing guitar, on Virtual Death?

Listening to 2 very different black metal releases this morning.

Midnight Odyssey's ambient/atmospheric black metal albums are usually 2 hours plus in length so I've never explored the music beyond listening to the odd track. The new EP is mercifully only 34 minutes long, but he still fits a lot of ideas into this.

Unholy Craft might be of interest to fans of early Darkthrone and Gorgoroth. Nothing groundbreaking, just rabid black metal.

Doubtful, surely he would have been credited by now? The only thing I know is Eddie Van Halen co wrote Evil Eye, although he wasn't officially credited due to his being singer to Warner.
