Dead Can Dance: Toward The Within

Utterly perfect stuff.

That the live one? A few members of Kila perform on that one, yer man O'Snodaigh playing some kind of a maraca.

The version of 'Cantara' on that is unreal.

That's the one. I have the DVD but it looks like shite on a HD TV. Badly in need of a remaster.

Alice In Chains: Dirt.

I despise junkies but meeting Staley (and Starr) is one of my happiest moments. Such a fantastic singer, fucked up by the oul' smack.

Great album

Lyrics are almost frightening

What were they like when you met them?

Only saw them once with Layne, when they supported Megadeth in The Point

They were great

Necrophobic -The Nocturnal Silence.

Sound out, and seemingly very surprised to have gotten such a positive reaction (it was at that Megadeth gig). I'm guessing that this was before the smack was an issue.

Are there any photos of them at that gig online?

I've seen a few of Megadeth, but none of AIC

I must try to dig out my early gig photos
Not sure I got any of them then

Fair bit of driving today.
Motorhead- On Parole, the 1997 remaster of the 1976 recording on CD
Motorhead- Another perfect day.
Motorhead - Overkill, ended up playing it through 3 times, some album

Im working my way through all the Skeletal Remains albums.

Undeath - It's Time to Rise From the Grave
Ghastly - Death Velour
Grafvitnir - Tunes of Sitra Ahra
Lifvsleda - Sepulkral Dedikation
Innana - Void of Unending Depths
200 Stab Wounds - Slave to the Scalpel
Scatorgy - Scatorgy

Lake of Tears - A Crimson Cosmos
                        Forever  Autumn

Pantera - Far Beyond Driven.

Way better than I remember. The singles are a bit overplayed but still decent tunes. However it's the stuff from Good Friends... on where it's really great. Every track from there on was like I'd never listened to it before, as happens sometimes going back to an album I know like the back of my hand. After going through all the big albums over the last week I reckon Vulgar Display is worse than CBH TGST and FBD but a bit better than RTS. It used to be my favourite once upon a time and all..

I only have the 3rd and 4th albums which are rippers. Are the first 2 worth investigating?
