Drudkh: Blood In Our Wells
Satyricon: Volcano

Steve Von Till- Alone in a World of Wounds. This sounds so good on first listen. I think I'll get good mileage.

Savage album. Almost as good as Onward to Golgotha which is one of the greatest death metal album ever made.

Aye, a real "do I take the Porsche or Ferrari this weekend" conundrum when firing either of them on.

I'd go Diabolical Conquest. Amazing, but ya, Onward is also top tier.

I think Diabolical (which is back on the stereo right now) edges it for me due to the kick-in-the-balls-heavy production.

Production is incredible. Daniel from The Chasm playing a blinder on it and the perfect balance of the fast and slow. 10/10.

I really must check out The Chasm probably. His performance on DC is savage.

NP - Witherscape - "A Prelude to Sorrow". I was today days old when I learned that their front fella is Ronnie James Dio's cousin (and a much better vocalist than him).

In The Woods - Diversum
                            Otra

Atlantean Kodex - The Golden Bough
Atlantean Kodex - The White Goddess
A band with a flawless back catalogue.

Pagan Temple- demo comp. I came across these on YouTube the other evening and I've listened to it a couple of times. Raw 90s BM from Poland which would sit comfortably alongside Graveland and Veles, but maybe not quite as good as those, or Mysteries who they are probably more on a par with. Good gear nonetheless and I think I'll have to grab the CD.

Steve Von Till- Alone in a World of Wounds.  I can't get enough of this. It's on repeat. The song Calling Down the Darkness is unreal and really reminds me of 40 Watt Sun,  but even more minimal than that. Stunning.

Opeth - Morningrise (been an age since I listened to this, but what an album).
Iron Maiden - No Prayer for the Dying (first Maiden record I bought on the day of release - Title track and Holy Smoke are seriously underrated tracks. But if I never heard Bring Your Daughter again... Not sure I would care).
Christian Mistress - Children of the Earth (one of my favourite albums from this year so far.  Just good old honest catchy Heavy Metal).
