I have the two EPs they released "Piercing Through The Frozen Eternity" and "Nightwind: The Conqueror From The Stars" and think they are both great, especially Nightwing.  Really need to buy the full length.

Ambush - Firestorm 8/10
Debut album from the Swedish Trad Metallers, an infectious blend of old Hammerfall, Heavy Load, Enforcer, even a bit of L.A.Guns in there, good stuff, hearkening back to simpler times.

Flotsam and Jetsam - I Am The Weapon 8/10
Another cracker from Flotsam, they just keep on keeping on, updating their sound, evolving ever so slightly yet never straying far from their Thrash roots.

Grave Digger - Heart Of Darkness 7.5/10
Most GD albums are of a similar standard and highly interchangeable but this one is a little cut above I think in terms of having more songs that actually stick in the mind. Could do without that jewellery box version of Auld Lang Syne though.

Portrait - The Host 7/10
A 70min+ concept album is not really what I want from Portrait and whilst this is good, very good in places, I'm hanging a bit by the end. The new Attic album in the same vein is much more concise and a better overall listen in my book.

Massacre - Necrolution  6/10
Another one outstaying it's welcome a wee bit is the new Massacre . 16 songs guys? C'mon ,classic death metal, 8-10 tracks, that's your killzone.
Ok so it's a standard 45 mins or so but you look at that track listing and your heart sinks a bit. Musically it's very much all about the Rogga Johansen bag of standard DM riffs and Kam Lee still sounding like the proverbial cookie monster. Will need to listen to this more online before considering a purchase.

Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Wrathprayer - Enkoimeterion
Absolutely amazing album that just gets better and better.

Mitochondrion - Vitriseptome
Only one full listen so far but it's an incredible piece of work. A very welcome return.

Obituary - Cause of Death
No words needed.

Moonlight Sorcery - Nightwing the Conqueror From The Stars
Moonlight Sorcery - Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity
Saxon - Denim and Leather
Manowar - Warriors of the World

Type O Negative - World Coming Down

I never got into Type O when I was growing up for some reason. I enjoyed the Black No. 1 video when I saw it on Headbanger's Ball, but kind of dismissed them as a bit of a novelty act -  I was into cooler stuff like Korn!

Someone recently recommended this album to me, and I'm loving it. I ended up buying the Roadrunner collection, and Dead Again. Can't wait to dig into the discography.

Pest Control - Dont Test The Pest

Tribulation - Sub Rosa In Aeternvm
Coffin Storm - Arcana Rising
Stygian Crown - Funeral for a King
Medieval Steel - Medieval Steel
Tokyo Blade - Tokyo Blade
Grand Magus - Sunraven
Toxikull - Under the Southern Light
Riot V - Armour of Light
