Paul Stanley's impressions of Foghorn Leghorn/Colonel Sanders is gas but makes loving the Alive albums hard work. The music is great, though.

Fair play to ya for even having it though it's an album and band you very rarely see mentioned. You'd have thought the eye catching cover would have garnered a few blind buys along the way .Can't even remember where I got my copy but I've never seen any of their other albums around, actually thought they were a one and done until I checked the Archives. I'm way to high with a 7.5/10 on it though you're right, it's probably closer to a 6. Chaotic indeed.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Cannibal Corpse - Eaten Back To Life
Deicide - The Stench of Redemption

Bedsore/Mortal Incarnation split
Forgot how good this is.only 2 tracks but 30 minutes of cracking proggy DM
Cadaver Shrine - Benighted Desecration

Almost pulled the trigger on that split on an Everlasting Spew order last week but ..yeah, it didn't make it to the basket. The Bedsore album is great stuff.

Gehenna Malice.
Abigor - From the twilight kingdom.
Absu -Abzu.
Marduk -Viktoria.
Immortal - Heart of Winter.

It was the art and name that got me interested.   Think it was a bargain on eBay back in the very early 00s. Listened to it a few times, maybe revisited it a couple more after that but it hasn't been played in at least 15 years.  Never bothered with anything else they released - though Metal Archives says they released an album last year.

Lucifuge - Hexensabbat
Bulldozer - lX (got the Hammerheart reissue on CD - fucking banger - though actually opening the booklet and reading the lyrics was a mistake).
Master - The Human Machine
Burzum - Det Som Engang Var
Lordian Guard - Lordian Guard (been an age since I listened to this.  Music is great - but the lyrics might put people off).
Demiser - Slave to the Scythe
Armagh - Exclamation Point
Slayer - Reign in Blood

Haha yeah, the Bulldozer lyrics are something alright

Massacre - From Beyond

Sweven - The Eternal Resonance

Said before, but the leads on this album are sublime. Hope these folk bring out some new material soon.

Darkthrone- Soulside Journey. I've had this on a lot lately. Savage album.

Controversially I reckon their best  8)

Had Senjutsu on a lot the last week in prep for Monday, took a while to crack it. Some great songs on there, definitely some shite as well. I've really struggled with the 3 albums since AMOLAD. Listening to Dance of Death last night it's leaps and bounds ahead of the recent output. But I suppose 20 years difference will do that.

I don't know if I would say it's their best but it's up there with the best. Depends what mood I'm in.
