So snotty. Also, Bobby Gustafson is on fire on that album. Immense riffs, and great guitar tone. It really set the standard for their later work IMO. It's a shame he was gone after that. They've had some great lead players since to be fair, but he had that X Factor I think, and there was great musical chemistry there, even if they weren't necessarily always on good terms personally.

Such a shame he never got anything off the ground after that. But then, even if you do come up with decent riffs, it's hard to get traction with pretty average players/vocalists and names like 'Satan's Taint'.

I thought he might make a proper go of it with Vio-Lence, but nah.

Good to know. Been eyeing this up.

Saw them at Keep It True, very decent for that 80's style, notably better than much of the other similar bands.

Kamelot - The Black Halo

Godflesh - Hymns. I love this sort of bridge between the 'Flesh and Jesu. I think it's one of the least popular albums they have but I dunno I just love it

I love it, it flows nicely with the live drums. A bit frontloaded and long maybe, but it's decent.

Beneath the Remains on repeat at the minute.

ANTHRAX - Spreading The Disease
S.O.D. - Speak English Or Die

Oul Ted Parsons was a great addition there, love his drumming on it as well

He was great with Overkill but never really followed anything else he did.  Though I loved the two guys on Horrorscope as well (embarrassingly I can only remember Merritt Grants' name, and I am doubting myself if that is even right - Rob someone perhaps). I am shit with names.

Kontact - Full Contact (more Dying Victims, really interesting thrash release with a proggy sci-fi feel.  I really like it.  If I was Thorn I would give it a 8/10).

Darkthrone - It Beckons Us All (probably my most played album this year.  So many cool riffs).

Trouble - Psalm 9 (the fact that I ended up wearing a Psalm 9 T-shirt and hoody today was a message from the metal gods to put this on - those items of clothing regularly end up in the PlasticHead sale).

The Wizards - The Exit Garden (possibly my favourite release so far this year).

Reversed - Wildyly Possessed (another decent release from Invictus).

Pantera - Cowboys from Hell (as there has been so much chat about them recently, thought I would revisit a few of their albums - they are a band I've never really clicked with.  Plenty of great songs, but they don't have any great albums - probably one for the controversial opinion thread).

I'm very wordy this morning...

Machine Head- Bum My Ears.
Gjendød- I utakt med verden.
Darkthrone- Soulside Journey.
