I'm about 2/2½ hours into disc 2 of the Swans doc. (Where Does A Body End?). Good stuff, mainly anecdote driven.

Came across this Grindcore Doc going down a YouTube hole, worth the watch anyway.

100%, I've never been but it seems to be a cool fest, bands and fans alike seem to have much respect for the fella.

There's a doc about the Greek tape trading scene, a couple of heads make appearances, but it's not specifically about BM or even Greek metal per se. And I don't have a link for it anyway. Has this been useful?

Anyone find a link to this?Or know the name even? My innner nerd is screaming to see a tape trading documentary.
update: oh wait, is it this "Metal From Hellas" thing?

I'd really like to see this new one about the German thrash scene in the 80s
https://totalthrash.de/en/

been revisiting a lot of that stuff of late, looks interesting.

Still haven't seen that "Blackhearts" one, can't find it anywhere and I want to laugh at cringey black metallers.

Yes, it is that Metal From Hellas thing. Proper old school scene makers.

Is it worth the watch?

I got about 20 minutes and and was pretty bored.

Watched a good one on The KLF last night on Sky Arts, Who Killed The KLF? Goes into their motivations for the music and 'art' projects over the years, worth a watch. I'd forgotten that they were on the Late Late with Gaybo and Joe bloody Elliot tutting over them burning the million quid.

I'm watching the Sonic Highways documentary series at the moment and loving it. I'm by no means a big Foo Fighters fans but this is pretty good. Basically they record each song of the album in a different town and go through the history of the music from each place. Very interesting now

Great show but the songs are cuntish. haha. Watched Echo In The Canyon the other day. Great subject matter and enjoyable but it came across as a self serving piece for Bob Dylan's equally painful son, Jakob.

Anything that exposes more people to Bad Brains is a good thing, even if it does involve the Foo Fighters. About to watch "Punk the capital" which is (Yet another) history of the DC Hardcore scene now.
