That death during Metallica is mentioned in the HBO one. But yeah, the RATM American flag burning episode not mentioned in either, which is absolutely a criminal omission for the significance it carries, generally speaking and specifically within the narrative of, y'know, burning shit instead of respecting it (not that, in general, I have a problem with flag burning as a statement... but maybe Woodstock 99 wasn't the place to do it without risking a riot).

Played 99 as well. I had their set taped.

Watched this today, a documentary about the ups and (mostly) downs of small bands touring the U.S. Not sure where I came across it, might have been in this thread, though I scanned back a few pages and no sign. Worth a look anyway, Joe Preston and Steve Albini are among the talking heads.

Watched that a while ago, it's a great one. Just bands telling tales with nothing in the way.

Watched the new Creedence Clearwater Revival one earlier (Travellin' Band: Creedence Clearwater Revival At The Royal Albert Hall), it was great stuff altogether. The first half hour or thereabouts is a documentary on the history of the band (they were once called The Golliwogs!), and then it switches to the gig itself. Fantastic performance, I'll be picking up the album for sure.

Nice one! I'll be all over that.

Been meaning to crack into that. Went to see Fogarty with my old man a few years back. Great night.

I see there's a new King Crimson doc coming out. That should be good. Long and varied career.

Should be good, hopefully will touch a bit on the Belew/Levin/Bruford era.

I got a bit Woodstock 99 obsessed for a week during the summer. Watched the doc listened to some of the podcast, but felt grimy and disgusted and eventually stopped myself. But Korn's opening song Blind is one of the most intense things I have ever seen in a live setting.

I watched the Netflix 3-parter myself over the weekend. They hadn't a clue what they were at.

Not Metal, but the new documentary on Sheryl Crowe is very good. Worth watching even if not a fan
