Watched "Murder In The Front Row" last night.

It's a bit amateurish but they seem to get all the main players in to do interviews. They completely ignore or gloss over the Metallica/Mustaine split save for "Dave left Metallica and Kirk joined.".

The narration by comedian Brian Posehn does fuck all for it - apart from annoy the shit out of me because I couldn't figure out who it was and if he was trying to be serious or inject himself into the narrative.

The archival footage and photos is impressive. The scene was documented very well. Worth a watch if you have 90 minutes to kill ('em all).

It's definitely worth a watch.
Slayer didn't get as much coverage as I was expecting.
I bought the book last year expecting a lot more text. It's more of a flick through type job. The photos are great.

Just finished this, it's great stuff. Another couple of bands added to the 'check out' list already.

This is a great documentary:

If you want to be reminded of just how one of a fucking kind she was, fill yer Doc Martens.

Great alright. I have her autobiography on the 'to read' pile, it's just been bumped to the top.

Death By Metal

Epic..... could do with being longer!

Could have done with having Masvidal on it, was such a weird exclusion especially since he was still doing the DTA tours around the time it was filmed

Trev, thats an interesting one. He must have turned the opportunity down..... I am off to web search it..... must be a good reason out there somewhere.

Given he avoided the buzz of Death mania which is mentioned in the doc, maybe he felt it wasn't his place artistically to pass comment? I dunno.

Yet he wrote the liner notes for the Human reissue Relapse put out.

The sound off the Human reissue, the CD...... wow! take your head off!

I have a few reissues on vinyl and they sound excellent. As for the documentary I really enjoyed it and the live show on the dvd from the Human tour

That Hipgnosis documentary, Squaring the Circle, is definitely worth a goo, watched it today.

Tell ya what.... that "Kieth Richards" documentary on Netflix is fantastic....... 100% worth a check

Some brilliant guitar playing and fantastic stories.

Ya, watched it a few years ago and enjoyed it.

I'll give the Hipgnosis one a go, I'd rather eat my balls than have anything to do with The Rolling Stones. Utter shite, bar 2 or 3 songs.
