Both peeve and pleasure - ordered a pair of jeans online (I can't buy off the peg, too much of a fat bastard). They arrived today but the wrong size was in the bag. Tried them on out of desperation and they seem to fit OK, so it seems I've lost a bit of weight. Which is nice.

I had to get work issued trousers from a specialist shop.  I was going to go up another size as I'd outgrown (horizontally) the last years issue.  The Asian woman working in the shop imparted a bit of Zen wisdom, sez she "don't go up another size or you'll grow into them as well". Trousers still tight as fuck but still the same size

How long before Musk is chopped into cubes, since it looks like he's hellbent on destroying Twitter before the end of the year? Those Saudi investors can't be happy with losing their $20bn+ investment.

I don't honestly get the big deal about the Twitter thing. I'm on it all the time and I can't see any difference at all. He can fuck off with his 8 quid but other than that it seems like some left right pantomime villain bollixing is basically all it is

"oh poor us, they won't censor the opposing viewpoints anymore"

Get a fucking life

I've never used Teitter because, well, I can read and have books. Same reason I've never cared for soccer. Just... no.

I am no fan of Musk but when he took over the employees called for advertisers and the like to pull out due to his take over which resulted in financial loss that lead to the layoffs. The employees brought this on themsleves but of course that is not the way the story is being reported.

Manchester Pride are asking boozers not to screen World Cup matches. Ha ha, best of luck with that.

Musk isn't such a free speech extremist as he's made out, even though Trump, Jordan Peterson and the Babylon Bee have been reinstated. Alec Jones isn't coming back. Nevertheless some of the gimpy bullshit coming from some opponents  is, as usual, cringeworthy. 'Burning down democracy'. These fools sound like Zelensky, everything has to be MAX POWER language and absolutes.

It's a load of bollix really that whole thing. Was painted as some sort of anti woke or something when really it's just a billionaire trying to make more billions and getting on the inevitable backlash against the modern left as a way of doing so without actually doing so.

I've been laughing at this for a couple of hours now. What a situation and the face on the kangaroo is hilarious

I wonder if not playing on DMDS kills Necrobutcher inside. It must.

Is it just me or are the TV directors lingering more than usual on any displays of muslim worship by players at the World Cup?

It's a Muslim evangelism strategy. First take away the alcohol, then show them how to pray.
