I had to give it up. Between medication I'm on and being 40 I couldn't handle the soul destroying mornings after anymore.

Not a fan, but have to say I've always found coke to be one of the "cleanest" come-down drugs. Speed, pills, even good quality molly can throw you a deeply unpleasant day or two after, but never once found that with coke.

Speed is generally an anxiety hangover. Pills and MD give me zaps for days after. Presumably from doing the dog on both when I was younger.

What's the fuckin story with those zaps by the way? I don't remember having those at all as a younger chap but I'd get them now. I think with the speed it's the straight up lack of sleep and the drink immunity that does the trick there.

Fucking awful drug. Next day is torture. Thankfully I did it a few times many years ago ago and decided it wasn't for me. Being around people who are on it when you're not is painful.

I don't mind the buzz off it in itself that much but the price ensured I never really got into it. As mentioned above as well it's very rare to get anything approaching good quality either. And I stand by saying it makes lads think they're great simply because they're taking it, contrasting with mdma or pills where people think everyone and everything is great. Well until that point in the morning where I think I never want to see anyone or remember anything I've ever said ever again!

I always drink with anything I do as well so I dunno what the comedowns are like by themselves really. Haven't long left at it all anyway, the mind and the flesh and all that

That's one thing I never understood about coke. Why is it so expensive when it doesn't even get you that high?
Mdma should be the expensive one if you ask me!

I'd imagine it's the receptors in your brain trying to recover. They weren't as fried when we were younger.

The Guardian has an article today on slow cookers and how to harness their money/energy saving powers - low-cost meals and little electricity.

Buying tougher (cheaper) cuts of meat is part of the advice. I agree with this entirely. Slow cook fatty off-cuts of beef/pork/lamb and it will yield you magnificent results in stews/curries/ragus after a day of being rendered.

However - The Guardian's article instead suggests that one should use 2 pheasant joints...

Good description of the buzz there. Took a couple together after being warned not to before and it culminated with me lying on the ground outside Penney's on Parnell Street after being awake for over 3 days. Couldn't stand for a minute. Think I was codded into it by the picture of a couple of decent looking women on the packet. Got that other methadrone shit once too, 14 hours straight of the hardest possible peak. Never again.

Those legal highs were disgusting.
I remember the first time I tried 2ci and I stupidly snorted the stuff.
The burn was so bad for about 10 mins I couldn't even open my eyes.
Then when it passed and I could open them again I was tripping so hard and hallucinating like mad.
Weird stuff altogether.
It made everything taste like absolute shit as well.

2ci wasn't and isn't legal. Both that and 2cb are great. The burn of the former is indeed insane. Methadrone was fuckin horrible shite altogether and the whole city stank ofnit at one point. Ugh.
