In my work travels today,  called in to a charity shop and picked up a rake of CDs and a dozen tapes. Mixed bag of genres as I get bored listening to the one style. Bought 4 CDs of Sri Lankan pop music at 10c a piece for the craic and came across a Sri Lankan bootleg double CDr of (and I kid ye not) 'Daniel O'Donnell & Mary Duff Live in Sri Lanka'
I thought it was some sort of joke but the internet has a few stories of him travelling there and "the bombings weren't going to keep him from his fans" A right Hard case

I had been attempting to help him clear out some WordPress malware in the weeks preceding it's closure. From what I can gather it was an impulse decision to close it. No idea what changed in a few days. I have no gripe with the guy whatsoever. He might have taken the site from us but he was also the one who gave it to us. I miss it but it was a dead horse by the time he shut it off.

Grand job. I'd love to see the return of the music shops. How viable it is outside of Dublin or the other cities though I dunno. I thought hmv was wound up altogether

Hadn't been in hmv in years until started working in the city again. In the interim they have really changed their focus to thenadult collector market, t-shirts, funko pops, etc etc downstairs and for the first floor music section I'd say 60% is vinyl at least in Belfast anyway. They probably have one of the wider vinyl selections in the car ty including a lot of metal of mainly metal blade, century media big label stuff. Shame about the price but no much worse than anywhere at this point
