It's been about 4.5 years since MI was assassinated.

I wonder how CT feels about it now.

I wonder what he thinks about this site.

I just googled Metal Ireland, to see the difference, and it just sends you to here lol.  Also IMA and a ticketmaster gigs listing, then off into blogs like overdrive etc.  It is like MI never even existed bar the few of us here who chat about it.

Some pages are missing from the threads, if the first page doesn't open the second one might etc.

Looking at that list of "amazing threads" now, it's pretty sad that the majority of them are basically bullying the shit out of somebody. I wonder if CT was ever embarrassed to be the host of such absolute shitehawkery.

There's some good stuff on the site that you can get off the archive but a lot of it is "you had to be there" really.  Some of the threads though the slating was deserved (Creations Tears etc) and there are other instances where the loss of the forum has come up for for a variety of reasons, but most of what's on the archive is useless beyong giving the few of us a bit of a laugh and nostalgia.

As a little aside, can anyone remember the name of your one who cropped up in a few threads, she was obsessed with Tom G Warrior and was either stalking him or making up stories about him but nobody knew which?

Ha, yeah I did think of that after I posted it 

But towards the end of MI, CT was working with some established media, BBC I think, and maybe he didn't want to be linked to all that shite. Street cred and all that.

He did a couple of podcasts on David Koresch which were very good.

A man walked past me earlier and had a little bead of liquid snot hanging off the tip of his nose. He smiled and nodded to me and the little bead of liquid snot dripped onto his jacket.

He might well have saved many lives as a respected surgeon. He may be the most philanthropic man of his generation, using most of his wages to rebuild towns that have been devastated by natural disasters in third world countries. He might be some sort of genius whose books I have read and have resonated deep in my soul, but to me he will forever be the man with the little bead of liquid snot that dripped into his jacket.
