What do you make of that Chat Pile split?

It's pretty good, bit of a mood piece and a grower. Not sure if I'll get the record yet but I've had it on a few times since release.

I've had about 3 listens to it so far it's an odd one for sure. Have never listened to Hayden Pedigo at all and I don't even know if this would make me check him out but it sort of reminds me of some of the things they were at on the Tenkiller soundtrack that they did a while back. A mood piece is a good description for sure

Husker Du - Flip Your Wig

I'd never really gotten into this one as much as the others but it clicked for me yesterday and I've listened to it about four times since. It's every bit as good as their best albums. I think I was initially a bit put off by how melodic it is compared to their harder stuff, but clearly was just being daft.

Kind of wary of that Chat Pile/Pedigo collab mainly cos..well.. I watched a documentary about Hayden Pedigo running for government a while back and I can't take him seriously ever since.

Love it, had to spin it seeing you mentioned it, lashed on Beaster while I was at it.

Flip and Candy Apple are the two I could never get into, try as I might, bar a few songs. Warehouse is amazing tho

Blue Öyster Cult: Agents Of Fortune

Obvious song is obvious but Morning Final is a choon.

Hüsker Dü: Flip Your Wig

Liaisons Dangereuses – Liaisons Dangereuses

From Düsseldorf, 1981

The tracks "Los Niños del Parque" & "Peut Être ... Pas" wouldn't go amiss in a techno set

Synth, dark, experimental, industrial, Germany in 1981

Great stuff!

Scarface - The Diary
Roc Marciano - Marcberg

Giving this a spin now. I like it. Cheers for the recommendation.

Beat - Neon Heat Disease Live

80's King Crimson done by Belew and Levin with Steve Vai and Danny Carey. Savage stuff altogether.

No bother at all.

I've tried to find stuff similar to it, but can't.
My knowledge is fairly poor on this style.

Electroclash / darkwave / ? ? ?

I know Miss Kittin and The Hacker, and a bit of Fischerspooner, but if anyone has recommendations on what inspired them ... please let yerselves be known  8)

70s/80s cold-synth

Time for a relaxing interlude :)

  Klaus Schulze – Timewind

One of these yokes was used to record it

Yes, a chair

Ramones - first two albums
Good background-y kind of music, though I've never really fallen for the Ramones in general. They were huge among the people in my year when I was at school. Endless "Hey ho! Let's go!" chants, but I was already well down the metal rather than punk route at that point. I love punk now, but still for me The Ramones have never fully grabbed me. Still good though.

Duran Duran - Seven and the Ragged Tiger
It's a toss up between this and Hysteria for the most laser-precise pop choruses of the 80s.

Pile discography. Very excited to see them again this weekend in Dublin
