I've yet to order the new album. I liked what I listened to online even if it doesn't quite match up to the debut. Pity about their t-shirt designs with the ludicrous back prints. I like their name and the logo is great but the sloganeering is a bit too cringey for me.

What an unbelievably great band. I could have picked 3 totally different albums by them and had a different experience altogether. Fuckin class

Always cool to read Karl's liner notes to each song, gets you invested in the album, this one is excessive at 55 mins but a masterful display of precision Death Metal

Bathory - Requiem 8/10
Quorthon's raw and rabid thrash assault, hated by many, I think it's savage

Wehrmacht - Shark Attack 7.5/10
Lightning fast crossover thrash from 1987

Grave - Extremely Rotten Live 7.5/10
I always had a soft spot for Grave, maybe more for their perennial underdog status than anything else but I still spun this live performance to about 20 people three times in a day

Slough Feg 7/10- Twilight Of The Idols
Slough Feg's second release suffers from bloat and a bit of a scattergun approach to songwriting but a weaker Slough Feg album is still a damn good listen

Exumer - Hostile Defiance 7/10
No frills, no fuckery thrash and a lean running time of 38mins make this a winner from the German veterans

Night Demon - Outsider 6/10
Not bad but nothing to get too excited about and I'm docking  a point for that daft comic book storyline
