Out the back in the sun, cold beer in hand, heres what ive got through.

Katatonia- Discouraged onrs, and Tonight's decision.
Pestilence-Spheres
Gorefest-fales
And currently on Asphyx-Death the brutal way

MINENWERFER "Alpenpässe"
I'm not familiar with anything else they've done but this is phenomenal.

DISSECTION "Storm of Light's Bane"
This still sounds as fresh and vital is it first did nearly 25 years ago. Total escapism.

Bal Sagoth - Cthonic Tales

For the lovely day thats in it, thought I'd break out a few I've not listened to in a long while

Thus Defiled - Through The Impure Veil Of Dawn
Darkthrone - Panzerfaust
Emperor - In the Nightside Eclipse
Cradle of Filth - The Principle of Evil Made Flesh

:abbath:

Dave Lee Roth - Eat 'em and Smile

The finest sunny day album ever made

I had Coheed and Cambria- 'In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth II' on while cooking a most delicious Jamie Oliver meal of vegetarian Indian burgers.  Winner all round.

Do they have another good track apart from that deadly one, Welcome Home, cos I've checked out a few tracks here and there over the years and they were all muck.

That's the only album of theirs that I have.  I think it's great.

Fear Factory - Archetype

I remember enjoying that when it came out but it seemed lacking in depth in the long run. I think the last decent album from them was Mechanize. The SYL rhythm section had an awful lot to do with that I reckon. Have you listened to that one?

Probably belongs in the controversial opinion thread but its actually my favourite FF album for a good few reasons. Demanufacture being 2nd.

Sabaton-The Great War. Little did I think at Wembley as they toured this album I may not be doing this again for quite some time. Worth the admission price for the title track alone.

I can't recall if they open the album with that track or not, but everything else on that album pales in comparison I think. He's prolific enough and he comes up with really cool sci-fi concepts for each album but the odd song I've heard here and there just really didn't do it for me. Like, a way worse hit/filler ratio than My Dying Bride.

Amebix: Sonic Mass sequeing into Tau Cross' first one, with Voivod: Phobos lined up for after. I know the Forrest albums aren't well thought of but I reckon Phobos is (along with Nothingface) my favourite Voivod album. The title track alone is 5/5 material. Having said that, I saw that lineup play (supporting Neurosis, I think it was) and they were boring as fuck.

First track on the Tau Cross album is a serious toe-tapper, too.
