Yeah I think Kaiowas is probably the best thing on it.

My Sep listening these days goes Beneath the Remains > Arise >>>>> Derrick Greene stuff.

How times change.

Likewise. I spend a lot more time on the Derrick era these days.

It was the Juggz Seal of Approval that encouraged to really dig into some of their later albums!

I'm tempted to dig out Roots as I haven't heard it in years. Considering I didn't particularly enjoy Chaos AD - and I used to almost worship that album - I wonder how (bad) Roots is gonna be.

I'd say Roots is fairly unlistenable, but then again I've not put it on in years myself. From what I remember it had a mass of filler tunes and guest spots that added nothing to the experience (remember thinking whoah, Mike Patton is on here? Wouldn't have known if I hadn't looked at the liner notes).

I loved 'Chaos AD' when it came out and I remember at the time feeling like I was taking a step into more extreme stuff with it,  haha.  I was so obsessed with that album that I chose Max as my confirmation name.  I haven't listened to it in years.  I gave a friend a loan of my copy to record onto his minidisc in the early 00s and never saw it again.  Chances are I'll never buy it again but I might lash it on YouTube at some stage to see how much of it I still like.

Back on topic,  I'm just home after being away for a month and a half and I'm sitting up jetlagged and working through new stuff that was waiting for me when I got home.

Zemial- 'For the Glory of Ur' posh CD edition.

Fuil na Seanchoille- DCD/ The Cure covers tape.

Gealach- The Longest Night tape on now.  Sounds good to me.  I'm excited to so how these lads develop as we could always do with decent new local BM.

Next in the queue are Ljosazabojstwa,  Phlegethon's Majesty and Effroi.

Car music of late: Nirvana - In Utero, Dead Kennedys - Plastic Surgery Disasters. That DK's album is a surefire way to forget about keeping below the speed limit.

I used to have Buzzbomb as the alarm on my phone... the intro alone was enough to wake me up/drive the missus mental.

Skepticism- 'Stormcrowfleet'. Perfection.

Death - "Human" and Cynic - "Focus" 😕

Mithras- Beyond the shadows lie madness

Opeth- Blackwater Park
Unleashed- Across the open sea
Witch Vomit- Buried Deep In A Bottomless Grace
Vader- Litany. I've never listened to Vader before. Is it all 200 miles and hour blasting like this? A bit monotonous.
