This and Idolum (which will be going on next) remain perfect albums  :abbath:

Savage albums. Love both of them. I'd add Oro:Opus Alter as well

Yup, definitely. Never really got into Ecate, even though it's the only one I have on vinyl (picked up at a gig), and haven't paid much attention since.

I've dipped into the newer stuff on release but nothing grabbed me. They were on a roll for a while and it was glorious. Wish I got to see them during that era

Unfortunately that one time I saw them, on the Ecate tour in a venue in Paris that was typically deadly for gigs, they seemed to be having trouble on stage with sound and there was just a weird irritable vibe about the whole performance, probably as a result.

Ripper - Towards Rebirth
Space Chaser - Razorblade Bay
Deceptor - Reign of Terror (old school death/thrash from Dying Victims.  Some seriously good riffs on this).
Aggressive Perfector - Havoc At The Midnight Hour
Sandstorm - Dungeon of Death
Toxikull - Turbulence
Green Lung - Necropolitan (the are a couple of chorus that wouldn't sound out of place on a Bruce Dickinson album - not saying it is a bad thing.  Track 7 in particular).

Those Ripper and Aggressive Perfector albums are both great, the new AP is killer aswell

Never heard of Ripper before until Thorn mentioned the new one, totally agree on the new AP - actually ended up buying this album on the strength of the new one, that was my first listen.

Critical Defiance - Rivers of Blood (as mentioned in the Skumstrike thread this is brilliant, start to finish it's a beast)

Looking forward to getting hold of that new Critical Defiance alright, great band.

Twisted Tower Dire - Netherworlds 9/10
Fourth one from TTD back in 2007 and a favourite of mine, always sounded like the perfect marriage of American and European Heavy/Power Metal to me, sort of Jag Panzer meets Helloween. Tony Taylor's (R.I.P.) vocals are superb on this too, like Andi Derris with balls.

Oraculum - Hybris Divina 8/10
One of the early highlights of a rather stellar Invictus year, the Chileans may not be prolific but this debut made good on the promise of those early eps. Dynamic, atmospheric, old school Metal ov Deth.

Atrophy - Socialized Hate 8/10
The Arizona thrasher's '88 debut, a real headbangers's ball of a record. Brian Zimmermann must have one of the most instantly recognisable vocal tones in all of Metaldom.

Stereo Nasty - Nasty By Nature 8/10
Still going through some old Sarlacc releases, our boy's 2015 debut cassette (number 42/150 !), man this stuff just makes me want to throw a denim cut off over the leather jacket and get down to the nearest rock bar..(the nearest what??) I am thoroughly ashamed I havent got the follow up to this on the shelves. No amount of denim and leather will atone for that.

Nervochaos - Quarrel in Hell 7/10
I can't imagine any squabbles in the underworld over giving these Brazilian savages a place at the top table of Death Metal but their pummelling Suffo/Krisiun assault surely deserves a place at the gates of Hades at least.

Cloven Hoof - Never A Prophet In Your Own Land 7/10
Early days with this new one and I'm not fully on board yet having loved the last one. This is a bigger, brasher rocking animal which sometimes even brings to mind Whitesnake in all their pomp and glory. Maybe I need to get them to put it on the jukebox in that mythical rock bar.

Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Terrestrial Hospice - Omnicide - Chapter 1.

Archgoat - Nightbringer/Lightbringer.

These 2 albums are on constant repeat.

I was just thinking the other how his delivery and phrasing is putting me in mind of Bruce.

While Heaven Wept- Suspended In Aphelion. Randomly pulled this off the shelf for a spin. Never really did it for me in the past but I thought it sounded decent this morning. Not amazing, but solid enough. I will, however, forever lament Tom Phillips's retirement from singing. Rain Whatshisname is a cool enough singer, but Phillips is da mang!

Biomechanical - Cannibalised

Remember picking this up years ago because I liked the cover, but thought it was shite. Figured I'd give a go again, still shite

Consistent, at least...
