Threw on LD50 earlier to after talking about them and I still like it.

Yeah, Its a cracking album.
Gone off nu metal now again after three evenings of it, enough is enough.
Gospel Of The Horns and Slayer were called for after that.

Are Soulfly regarded as nu metal?

Had few Soulfly albums myself.
Kept hoping Max would come good, I suppose. Fucking deluded, sure.

Offloaded a few over the last while. Still have 2 of the poxy yokes on the trade pile.

It's like that isn't it, I'd have hoped he would come good as well but instead he lost more strings off his guitar and got fatter and shitter

[Looking in the mirror, a single tear running down his chin] "Yeah, the fat prick."

I've managed to somehow acquire a load of Soulfly stuff over the years, the first few are all nu-metal, then on Dark Ages (their best album) he went back to a more death/thrashy sound

He's been trying to recreate that since with diminishing results

Hammers of Misfortune - Dead Revolution, I've not given this one enough attention, some sweet leads and solos as expected

Big Brave - A Gaze Among Them

Qrixkuor - Poison Palinopsia

Did ya get the new HoM by any chance?
Just flicking through the Dying Victims webshop there and saw it, bunged it in the cart

I didn't get as far as Dark Ages think I gave up after Primitive or maybe one after.

The cavalera conspiracy was awful as well

Edit: listened to about 5 or 6 off that Megaton Sword album today . For power metal it's actually not bad but I don't see myself loving it. The vocals are pretty good to be fair but I found it a bit plodding

Still digging the new Insomnium album  Anno 1664

Sponsored by Kronenbourg??

Terror - Pain Into Power.
Apostate - In The Image Of God. This one is like a mix of Suffocation and early Cannibal Corpse. Heavy as balls.

No prayer for the dying - reading back through earlier discussions on here - first few tracks are OK but fair drops off at #4.
Chaos AD up later after work, bought the CD single for Roots yesterday after selling the album on eBay years so.  I think Arise is there last good one

This is savage death metal, riffs up the wazoo and doomy passages. And those vocals  :abbath:

Quality  :abbath:  :abbath:

Gosudar are so good.

Eloy - Metromania. Pure 70's prog embracing the eighties. Amazing.
