That Neuropa crowd that were doing the shipping from the EU were exceptionally generous to themselves with the shipping.

I saw that. It must be some lad in a taxi bringing it over.

Savatage - Hall Of The Mountain King

Bit of Fear Factory today starting with Mechanize and probably Soul of a New Machine after this.

Anyone tried any of the stuff after Mechanize at all? I skimmed through one of them and didn't think much to come back to it

Everything from when Cazares came back just blurs into one for me TBH, just background noise. Not bad per se, just unremarkable.

Sepultura- Arise
Rush- Chronicles

Tried listening to Pantera , Vulgar and Cowboys, had the CDs since they came out but found it too stupid now.  Dunno if I'll ever bother with them again.

Yeah I'd say I'll leave them off. Mechanize will do nicely with the great rhythm section.

Listened to new Devin Townsend one earlier and it wouldn't have me frothing at the mouth for the album in any way

Fear Factory since Dino came back have been grand, its all very much sticking to the formula. If you liked Mechanize chances are you'll enjoy the rest just don't go expecting anything different

The new Devin took a few listens to get into, but really liking it now, kinda like Ki mixed with Empath. He said it's not very representative of the album though, so seems a weird choice for the lead single

Megadeth - Peace Sells....

Easy to forget what a riff machine Mustaine was. The Conjuring is just  :abbath:  :abbath:  :abbath:  :abbath:

Malist- In the Catacombs of Time
        To Mantle the Rising Sun

Classic track, if I ever attempted a top ten fave songs of all time, maybe in a nursing home one day, in lieu of bingo, that would be considered.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Opeth - Blackwater Park.
New to this album. Sounds good on first listen. Any fans?

Their best IMO, the only one that really clicked for me anyway. Though I don't mind some of their more recent, proggy stuff in the background.

My favourite of theirs.  Great album.  The 4/5 albums either side of it are excellent too.

It's "Bad Omen" for me. Seriously underrated tune, those riffs are incredible.
