Had both originals on Hammerheart back in the 90s. Couldn't make head or tail of them. Couple of years back heard them again. Maybe it was the weed but looked at both in a whole new light. Eventually acquired the reissues and the rest is history. Not an instant hit but well worth persevering. Enjoy.

I've been circling around those Aeternus albums for ages it seems, they're always catching the eye , someday...

Picked up the Soulseller re-issues of both earlier in the year. It had been a long time since I'd heard either of them. They didn't do much for me when I first heard them back in the 90's but found myself really enjoying both this time round, especially Beyond...

It's partially responsible for making me going back to lot of old stuff I haven't listened to in years, and in some cases completely re-assessing stuff that I'd dismissed or only scanned over at the time. Stuff like early Obtained Enslavement, Manes, Gehennah etc. Even found myself listening to Dismal Euphony's Autumn Leaves - The Rebellion of Tides at one stage...

Recent second hand find. Overlooked album, some great hard rockin riffs all over it.

Love that album. As a kid I bought a small laminated poster of the cover from the local record shop . When the oul fella copped it on my bedroom wall it was the start of many years of 'the divil's music' rants for me. Never saw Ozzy looking cooler before or since, personally.

Qrixkuor - Poison Palinopsia

Total masterpiece. Envelopes the listener for an hour solid. They've released some total bunk over the years (hardly surprising considering they're that prolific), but when they got it right good jaysus they made some serious music.

I urge anyone with an hour free to get lost in this with a good set of headphones and the eyes closed. Fuckin savage album.
