Checking out Sijjin here for the first time, the Sumerian Promises album. At first I thought it sounded good but maybe a bit old school DM by numbers. By the end of it, I was well into it though. More than meets the ear on first impressions. Or else the second half is just better. Just pressed play on the one released last month now.

Reverend Bizarre - In the Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend

This album has finally clicked with me. I bought it years ago based off it's reputation, but I couldn't get into it. Threw it on the stereo full blast this morning, and it sounds glorious.

Return to the Rectory is included as a second CD. I'll give that a spin later.

  I haven't had a smoke in over 20 years. If I did I'd end up pulling a whitey and would have to throw on some Enya to calm down.

I'll listen to it with some strong Belgian beers the next time I get a night to myself. That's as hardcore as I get these days.
