That's about what I paid for the CD boxset. There's a bit more to the vinyl box I think, in terms of memorabilia and all that, but the CD box is decent.

Edit: Just looked, the CD boxset is €19 on Svart at the moment. Worth picking up.

Candlemass - Nightfall

Can't really go wrong  :abbath:

Gutted - Bleed for Us to Live
Cryptopsy - Blasphemy Made Flesh

In the mood for tear your face off death metal recently, and these two rabid bastards scratch that itch.

Grand Magus - Sunraven (think this went a bit under the radar but another strong release).
Hangman's Chair - Saddiction
Grave Digger - The Last Supper (was listening to this trying to think of albums with blue covers).
Bathory - Hammerheart

I think with Grand Magus there's definitely an element of taking them for granted because they are just consistently... consistent. That last one was good alright ,just no better nor worse than any of their others.

Think you are spot on there.

Riot - Thundersteel
Obscura - A Sonication
Hextar - Doomsayer (a Dying Victims release I don't actually like.... Shock horror!)
Midnight Force - Severan
Intolerance - Dark Paths of Humanity (must be one of the few Spanish bands I have ever listened to.  Competent Death Metal).
Nocturnus - The Key

What's the Hextar like then?

Satyricon- Nemesis Divina. Bar Mother North I've never really clicked with this album. Going to see if the momentt is right.

Ya ever see Spun with the wee pimply rocker with Mother Earth on the tv in his bedroom? Looks well out of place in the sunny States.

Nemesis Devina was the first Satyricon I got. It's great.

Yep, I saw that twenty odd years ago. Mother North stands out to me as being above the rest of the album and is one I recorded off the metal show a good 30 years ago. I grew up with the song essentially. The rest of the album didn't match it for me in terms of riffs, epicness or atmosphere, but I'm going to persevere with it and see if it grows on me. I enjoyed it more this morning than I have in the past but it might have helped that I was driving in to work, the moon was full and it was the first misty autumnal morning of the season so the conditions were most favourable  8)

Edit. I have overused the word 'it' in that reply but I can't be fucked making... the post (I nearly did it* again)... flow.

*there's no escape.

Halford is in that movie as well.

Yeah, I don't think it did him much favours!

Clutch - Blast Tyrant

Clutch are one of those bands that passed me by for whatever reason. This is great stuff, like redneck Monster Magnet.
