War Master is actually one of the BT albums I listen to least. Personally prefer the albums to each side of it.

Sinister - Hate
Cryptopsy - None So Vile

Two of the best death metal albums ever.

Danzig 7. Well I won't be doing that again.

Uriah Heep - Look at Yourself
Iron Curtain - Savage Dawn
The Halo Effect - March of the Unheard
Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak
Iron Maiden - Senjutsu (decided to go back to this - Stratego is a cool track and I think Hell on Earth is great but the rest is meh).
Seven Sisters - The Cauldron and the Cross

Godflesh - Streetcleaner 10/10
The aural embodiment of urban alienation and decay. And utterly unfuckable with.

Sentenced - Shadows Of The Past 8.5/10
Preference is for North From Here but this 1991 debut has a dank, murky atmosphere, not unlike Lost Paradise that they would never conjure again as they chug their way through the likes of Rotting Ways To Misery with Bolt-Throweresque aplomb.

Vulture - Dealin' Death 8/10
It seems barely a week goes by without one or other of the German Speed-Thrash merchant's albums hitting my turntable or stereo. This one, from '21, is a veritable conduit back to the leather, studs and steel of the early eighties...just like any of their other albums then. Killer!

Grave Digger - Bone Collector 7.5/10
Ah Grave Digger, the ultimate 7/10 band, 7 being Good, sometimes dropping to an Above Average 6 but never a Very Good 8. If you're not down with the German's brand of traditional Heavy Metal there's nothing on this new one to change your mind but I'm pushing an extra half point on this as there are some genuine big, ballsy anthems here and the band thankfully eschew the fanfare and bluster that accompanied all that Scottish love-in malarkey on previous albums.

Death Angel - The Evil Divide 6/10
A very polished sounding 8th album here from Death Angel thanks partly down to the super-modern Suecoff production. It's decent but I wouldn't choose a single track from this for a Best Of.. and it's safe to say it'd be bottom of any DA ranking with me.

Septagon - We Only Die Once 5/10
Super melodic Thrash and Speed with Markus Becker from Atlantean Kodex at the mic. I remember hearing this the first time after one too many beers and thinking I'd found a diamond in the rough. A very watered down Flotsam and Jetsam/Annihilator/Megadeth hybrid would be a more sober assessment but it's not without its charm.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Absolutely love Grave Digger, was totally obsessed with them and Running Wild for a while.  Think the last Grave Digger I bought was The Living Dead and before that it was Clash of the Gods but they really didn't do much for me. Really must dig out my old albums and give them a blast again.

Also that Vulture is a quality album, both it and Sentinels are two really strong releases.

Yeah, Grave Digger are the epitome of meat and potatoes Metal and as usual I went into the new one with low expectations but I was pleasantly surprised, it's actually quite fucking rousing, I think there's a new guitarist that may explain the upturn, plenty of good riffs and stick in the head choruses on there. With the obligatory and wholly unrequired ballady track of course. Oul Chris with his limited vocal abilities never did learn to steer clear of those. I'd recommend giving it a go though.

Vulture are just on another level aren't they, they haven't put a foot wrong  fair play to 'em.

Grave Digger are great alright ..im due a visit back down that rabbit hole

Time Rift - In Flight
Hypocrisy - The Fourth Dimension
Hexenbrett - Dritte Beschworung: Dem Teufel Eine Tochter
Tiamat - Clouds
Mystic Storm - From the Ancient Chaos (A High Roller release I picked up for cheap - thought it was going to be typical Sword & Sorcery but it is more Speed Metal/Thrash).
Satyricon - Dark Medieval Times.

New Ninkharsag EP...good stuff

I listened to this yesterday, it's not bad.
They don't hide their influences but it makes me want to go listen to the stuff that inspires them over their actual releases.

Vacuous:In His Blood.
Pretty good, kinda half thinking about seeing if the finances are right for a trip to the Siege.

Grave Infestation- Carnage Gathers
Havukruunu- Tavastland

Both of these in heavy rotation for the past couple of weeks, very promising start to the year.

I love this band stronger with each day. I played the full So Long Suckers album during a nice mushy session recently. New levels of appreciation. This Slice of Doom LP boxset is top drawer and I managed to get it over on Svart for only 40 euro but its gone up again since.

Picked it up from Scobes. It's deadly.
