Blasting this slab of doom magnificence while I work. What an album.

Is it just me or does Eric Wagner sound a bit like the bould Axl Rose?

A bit, but I've always been convinced Axl was took a lot of notes from Tim Baker of Cirith Ungol (particularly on "King of the Dead".

Midnight - Hellish Expectations 7.5/10
Completely forgot Midnight had a new one this year then saw it for 20 bucks on Amazon there, it's only 25 mins long but it's 25 mins of good ol fashioned black speed punk bedlam, This is what Lemme would have been doing if he was into the harder stuff I'd imagine.

Bewitcher - Spell Shock 7/10
Predictive text put this in as Bewitched which is apt as these play something similar to the old Swedish hellraisers and a dollop of Swordmaster.  This one's cheap on Amazon at the minute too.

Konkhra -  Sad Plight Of Lucifer 6/10
A few Hammerheart '24 pickups starting with the veteran Danes here back with their own particular brand of meat and potatoes Thrash/Death with modern influences, safe, predictable and no doubt will get them onto a second or third Wacken stage next year.

Sig:Ar:Tyr - Citadel Of Stars 8.5/10
Whoa, this is currently gatecrashing my Top Twenty very late on, an absolute soundscape of evocative, epic Pagan Metal in the vein of Bathory, Primordial, Falkenbach etc., Really into this one at the minute.

Totengott- Beyond The Veil 6/10
Third album from the Spanish band that started off as a Celtic Frost covers band and basically have developed into doing their own take on Tryptikon. I quite like this album when it's on but it is soooo derivative (copycat?) I just can't be giving it the ol solid seven.

Napalm Death:Apex Predator,Easy Meat

I looked that up, (Apex Predator) thinking it must have been a live album, never realised there was the Easy Meat bit to the title
