Hellhammer- Apocalyptic Raids.
Celtic Frost - To Mega Therion.

Savatage - Sirens
Black Star Riders - Heavy Fire
Blood Ceremony - Lord of Misrule

Slint - Untitled EP
Slint - Spiderland
Slint - Tweez

I'm enjoying Tweez
Have never given it a proper go
Still, not a patch on Spiderland

Any recommendations on Shellac?
I have & like '1000 Hurts'

Their debut At Action Park is a great album.

Have yet to listen to their last album, To All Trains, but it got very good reviews.

I have a double live cd at the BBC 10 years between the two gigs and it's great. I've never listened to an album though

I watched the documentary over the past couple of nights so intend to give these a listen myself. I tried Spiderland a while back and found it OK but it didn't really click, but sure I'll give it another go.

The documentary mentioned that Albini's best ever drum sound was on the Untitled EP.

Drum machine recorded to 2-bit digital ::)

Listening to it again now, & the drums do sound good
Actually, the kick sounds kinda sloppy
Like it's cheap gear
But that could be Albini throwing a finger at over-polishing recordings
I do like it though
Sounds more natural

I love the snare sound

I hate Albini's production anyway so I'm not expecting much.

Great White - Once Bitten. RIP Jack Russell

Never really cared for their blues-rawk stuff, but I always liked the debut, so I gave it a blast earlier. Solid stuff, like a mix of more European/NWOBHM influences, and early glam metal.

I'm surprised the guy lasted so long to be honest. R.I.P. Jack.

UFO - Covenant
ANTI NOWHERE LEAGUE - Pig Iron The Album

I don't think I've ever seen Grin get such love before! I certainly don't t dismiss it the way some do though.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

The older Grin and I get, the more we find to love in each other. It is aging better than me, however
