Pestilence: Consuming Impulse (CD)

Enjoyed this having not listened to it in a while. 'Dehydrated' is a great opener, 'Out of the Body' is also awesome. Doesn't let up. What is your favourite Pestilence album?

Blood Fire Death - A Tribute To Quorthon from Beyond The Gates.
Gaahl walks off the stage after his bit with the swagger of swaggers. You could have some crack with him at the counter of a chipper at 2.00 in the  morning. Just before he eats your liver.

Sabbat - Evoke
Sabbat - Fetishism
Sabbat - The Dwelling

After wondering for years why so many people are obsessed with Sabbat it has finally started to click with me. I have been listening to them a lot over the last year.

Deify Thy Master is a banger also. This and Spheres are my faves. Testimony should be up there, but an interlude after almost every song annoys the tits off me.

Great album. Some great trio he had there with that and Ocean Machine and City.

And prior to those he had the SYL debut, the Punky Bruster album, and Sex & Religion with Steve Vai

Sweet Jesus he owed the world the good three after that awful awful run

Freeways - Dark Sky Sanctuary
Leige Lord - Burn to my Touch
Octoploid - Beyond the Aeons
Coffin Storm - Arcana Rising (got distracted by other stuff and didn't give this the intention it deserves - plenty of cool riffage and old school goodness even if the vocals aren't your cup of tea)
Judas Priest - Defenders of the Faith (my lunch time gardening tunes)
Jaguar - Power Games

Sanctuary- Into the Mirror Black

Always a good call, might throw it on now!  :abbath:

In Solitude - Sister
Portrait - The Host
Cardiacs - Sing to God

Anything with Warrel Dane is a always a good call, don't think he ever put out a bad album

Totally agree, though sadly Into The Mirror Black (now playing) is the only one I have on LP  :-X  Still haven't vinyl replaced any of the Nevermore CDs I sold off before moving to France.

Vlad Tepes / Belkètre - March to the Black Holocaust
Sabbat - Sabbaticult
Hirilorn - A Hymn to the Ancient Souls

Too right  Glad he ditched the humour by then, although have you ever heard the demo version of Home Nucleonics? It has the "Club Pinky Winky" intro and it just isn't funny. Close call.

Is Shadow Work worth a go? I think that's the only thing he's done I've never heard. I enjoyed Praises to the War Machine (once I got it through my head it's not Nevermore Part II).
