More or less what I have on in the car when I'm indoctrinating the young lad although I prefer the first Opeth to they two.

He seems to prefer yoke music which is concerning, I successfully made him a rabid Celtic fan but with less success on the musical battlefield.

Watershed could be my least favourite Opeth, but I'm on a bit of a binge of them recently so decided to give it another go. Went down fine today!

New Ulcerate track. Haven't listened to it yet. Loved the last album they did.

Despite not being blown away when I first heard it, I've kept coming back to this time and time again. A Troubled Mind is such a great song.

I really like it, yeah. Simple and effective.

Regarding Geddes Axe, the singer sounds so like Zebe Parks it's insane.

Edit. There's a different singer (Tony Rose) on the Escape From New York EP. He sounds more accomplished but still has great character and isn't a million miles tonally from the first guy (Andy Millard). The Day the Wells Ran Dry reminds me of Midnight Oil.

Pissed Jeans - "Half Divorced"
Kollapse - "AR"
Opeth - "Blackwater Park"
Ween - "Quebec" (on currently)

Friday morning selection while I attempt to muster up the will to actually work.

Worm - Bluenothing
Slimelord - Chytridiomycosis Relinquished

I was in the mood for some oddball stuff this morning. Worm's Bluenoothing is a weird mix of death/doom and atmospheric black metal, with some James Murphy-esque solos thrown in for good measure.

Slimelord are somewhat similar to Worm, unpredictable death/doom but without the black metal elements. Some of the songs feature geese calls and frog croaks which sounds like a gimmick but actually works well.
