That doc is great. Some really thumping live clips in it

Mad, that documentary turned me right off them. They sound like a right bunch of deluded gobshites, with all the 'majick' stuff. Still a fan of the music obviously, but I'd never want to cross paths with any of them in the real world.

I honestly thought they were taking the piss with all that magick stuff. They hardly actually believe in that shite but I love the way the bullshit stories add to the whole mystique

Blind Guardian - Nightfall In Middle-Earth

Vinyl arrived yesterday. Might listen to nothing else today   :abbath:

Godflesh - Selfless

Blaze Bayley - Circle Of Stone
Abaddon Incarnate - The Wretched Sermon
Rush - Power Windows
Borknagar - Fall

Cradle of Filth - Midian
Malokarpatan - Vertumnus Caesar
Satan's Host - By The Hands of the Devil
Flight - Echoes of Journeys Past
Summoning - Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame

Hellvetron - Trident of Tartarean Gateways
Nyogthaeblisz - Abrahamic Godhead Besieged by Adversarial Usurpation

Cobalt - Gin

I really like this album

It's a bit off-kilter at times
Hard to describe
Kinda manic/druggy, with some great riffs in it

One of my absolute favourites. Has a lot of diff flavours, but just comes across seething no matter what. Mans Gin is worth checking out, but I've never really clicked with any of the other Cobalt records as much as Gin.

Unaussprechlichen Kulten - Haxan Saboath is blowing me away this morning.

Great album, Slow Forever is a great follow up, pushes everything a bit further.

Morbus Chron - Sweven

New Job For a Cowboy Album out today, have it on.

Also saw the new Rotting Christ video yesterday and quite liked the song.

Manowar - Battle Hymns 9.5/10
A healthy dose of Metal testosterone on my 48th yesterday.

Ulver - Bergtatt 9/10
It's rare I'd complain about an album being too short but this is one that could easily have held the attention for another track or two.

Amorphis - Tales From The Thousand Lakes 9/10
Ageless, pioneering, melodeath classic.

Anacrusis - Screams and Whispers 8.5/10
                     Manic Impressions 8.5/10
No separating the four Anacrusis albums for me, dark, cerebral progressive thrash at its best.

Ihsahn - Ihsahn 8/10
I've hit ten spins on this so I pretty much know where I am with it , loving the tunes that could have come straight off Prometheus and losing interest a bit in the more moodier pieces towards the end.

Cirith Ungol- I'm Alive 8/10
Two live sets acting as a best of from these Trad Metal legends. Great sound on this too.

Abyssal - Denouement 7/10 New one out next month

Slutvomit - Copulation of Cloven Hooves 7/10
Very partial to a bit of Slutvomit of an evening.

Exodus - Blood In,Blood Out 6/10
It's alright, gets tedious the further it goes though

Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Could have come straight off Prometheus, you say? I'll have to give that a go

Hope they play a rake of tunes off Prometheus at the gig coming up lol

Carpathian Forest- Through Chasms, Caves and Titan Woods.
Vircolac- Veneration.

Motstand (Nor) LP

Real 90s Norwegian BM feel, primarily early DHG. Good oul stuff. Think it was recorded about 10 or 12 years ago but only recently seen the light of day.

I've listened to it four or five times now.  Find the last 15 minutes of the album to be tedious and it drains a lot of life out of the album.  Bit of a shame as it is banging up to then.
