Grand Magus - Wolf God
Torture Rack - Primevil Onslaught.

With regards to Gojira, i still hold FMTS in high regard.
Thx drum sound ruined The Way Of All Flesh. The kick drum sounds so clicky I can't listen to it. Overly long. As a result I never bothered with what came after. Are any of them worth the time?

No. Leave it where it is and especially stay away from the latest album where they went all nu metal on it

Gojira - The Link and FMTS are lethal.  Totally lethal.  They definitely didn't sour with age for me anyway, actually went back to FMTS lately meself and it was unreal all the way through.  Anything after those have fell off so badly I will never revisit them.  There's a couple of decent tracks here and there but overall the albums are very poor and any good ideas they had in either style are on the two albums I mentioned.

Pagan Altar - Lords of Hypocrisy
Marduk - Nightwing
Entombed - To Ride...
Why Angels Fall - The Unveiling (Portuguese Doom).
Sye - Wings of Change (cult Canadian Heavy Metal)

ST- How Will I Laugh Tomorrow...

Kampfar -  Ofidians Manifest
Thantifaxath - Sacred White Noise
Urfaust - Der freiwillige Bettler
Dopamine - Dying Away in the Deep Fall
Mamaleek - Out of Time

At the Gates - Purgatory Unleashed (Live at Wacken).

Holy shit am I enjoying this. The SotS and TSD tracks sound better than the studio versions for sure. Even though the playing is really tight and clean-as-fuck, there's a bit of murk to it you don't get on those two studio releases. The whole thing has such a punchy and muscular sound to it.

Ozzy - No Rest for the Wicked
Isis - Oceanic & Panopticon

Guiltless - "Thorns"
Only two songs up off the EP due out this month but they are both deadly, post-metal stuff.

Exhalants - s/t
How I never listened to this before is beyond me, right up my alley, mostly noise rock / post hardcore kind of thing.  Live, tight, violent, reasonably upbeat oddly.

Bloody Head - "Perpetual Eden"
Similar again, sort of noise rock / psych / sludge thing but mostly just ragged and lethal.  Only gave it one spin so far but it's going back on again later, there's plenty in there.

Devastator - Baptised in Blasphemy (studio tracks are banging, the between song "banter" on the live tracks is awful).
Savatage - Power of the Night
Minenwerfer - Kreigsurklarung
Firmament/Midnight Prey - Gathered Under Open Skies
Blade Killer - High Risk
Abhorration - After Winter Comes War
Sargeist - Satanic Black Devotion (killer album)

Black Sabbath- Headless Cross. I have heard the title track before but never listened to the album. Sounds good.

Cornigr - Relics of Inner War
Mare - Ebony Tower

I see Sound On Sound this month has a full write up on the recording and production of DMDS, I was reading a little bit of it in Easons the other day.  Nothing outlandishly detailed but a breakdown of how they approached it, gear used etc.

Varathron- Untrodden Corridors of Hades. Never listened to this before and it sounds good.

Im on a fierce At the Gates buzz this week, ive played With fear I kiss the Burning Darkness multiple times!
