Yeah, though he's popped up a couple of times since the original series (time travel episode of DS9 and rebooted in Discovery).

My Bloody Valentine: This Is Your Bloody Valentine, Man You Love To Hate - Live

My first foray into the early stuff and it's unrecognisable as the same band - which, I suppose, it isn't as there was a different line-up - with a completely different sound. All psychedelic garage rock and post-punk. It's only OK TBH, I shall press on.

I can't stand pre-split Autopsy (I love the post-reformation output though).

Leprosy was the first DM I heard and have yet to hear anything that touches it. The drums are odd alright, the snare sound in particular but I couldn't imagine it sounding any different.

Tom Noonan, best known as the Tooth Fairy in Manhunter, 74. One of those guys that popped up in a lot of films and TV programmes.

Leprosy is the definitive death metal album. Agents are on the way to your location. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

He did something similar in Into The Wild, if memory serves. Inserted a lengthy aside about how great a mountain climber he was into a story that had nothing to do with it. It's a while since I read it so maybe I'm misremembering it, but I found it quite irritating at the time.

Fourth best for me, but that's after Leprosy, Human and Scream Bloody Gore. Hard to top those three.

For Ruin covered the title track, if memory serves.

RIP, would he the last of the old school commentators?

Him, Taylor and Davis I suppose, and I'd say those two will be around for a while yet.

Another poor performance, it should never have been that tight against Italy. Surely this takes Prendergast off the starting line-up for the England game, he had another poor game whereas Crowley played well whem he came on. Great to see Baloucoune score on his debut as well.

Tight for the under 20s game last night too, though they played better than the seniors today IMO.

Watched Predator: Badlands there. Good craic, told from the Yautja's point of view (at first, anyway) with plenty of lighter touches throughout. The plot's fairly basic and predictable but it's grand for switching the brain off for a couple of hours.
