I enjoyed Down And Out... a lot, read it a year or two back. Animal Farm and 1984 are bothe excellent too, though it's been at least 30 years since I read them. I have The Road To Wigan Pier here, I must get into that.

Never read a word of Hemingway, been meaning to for a while. That Ken Burns series on him is well worth a watch.

The Cure: Faith - I had a song from this (The Funeral Party) stuck in my head all day so had to run it through to clear it out.

Later (ie, after I fell asleep and woke up) Concert: The Cure Live & Curiosity: Killing The Cat (Cure Anomalies 1977-1984).

Yeah, it's awful. I might listen to the rerecording now to see what the craic is.

Edit: just as bad, if not worse.

Nabbed that there, fair play to ya. Gave it a few mins. and it sounds better than the original, that's for sure. A proper listen awaits. Thanks again lad.

Wild Mood Swings isn't the best at all but has its moments. I wasn't too pushed about Wish either until the deluxe version came out a year or two back. The remaster did it wonders and it flows really well as an album. Nearly an indie/Madchester buzz off it, which you wouldn't think would work with such a bunch of melacholy fuckers, but it really does.

The Head On The Door, The Top & Disintegration for me I reckon, but that could change tomorrow. I'm in a good mood now so there we are.

I printed off a big one a couple of elections back, laminated and all, the gist of it being 'no canvassing or leaflets, if we get either you lose a vote'. It worked and I was raging when my brother threw it out. We had 3 from the same cunt for the council elections recently.

I dunno, it just sounds overbearing here, it's hard to focus on anything else and it's nearly drowning out the guitar.

Yeah, Antichrist came and went in a flash there. I have Under The Sign on now and fuck me do the drums sound bad. Is the rerecording any better production wise? Couldn't be much worse anyway.
