Quote from: Bürggermeister on April 13, 2026, 08:36:13 PMWas at that too. There were a lot less people at that one, never saw the SFX so empty which is amazing considering Priest were touring fucking Painkiller

Priest was jam packed compared to The Almighty/Warrior Soul show there a couple of years later,

Was at Megadeth and Alice in Chains show too. Can't remember the Almighty but I assume I watched them. Think AIC were copping a bit of flak from a few retards up the front was there a bit of spitting going on?
Megadeth were off the charts that night, best gig ive ever seen.

I was at that show as well. I enjoyed all 3 bands actually and I think I've caught The Almighty 2 if not 3 times over the years.
There was a bit of a buzz for us for AIC because one of the lads had Facelift on import when it came out so we were used to those songs at least. I remember thinking Layne was really cool, and had some pipes...
The t-shirt I bought that night was the AIC one and I still have a photo of me getting off the bus home that night with it on...
As for Layne, what a wasted talent, such a shame... and indeed the Grunge scene lost quite a few young legends in through the years...

Every live Megadeth video I've seen over the last decade has sounded like that.

Kinda - Vocals always garbage and band are always very tight. But I think the vocals are worse in this - sounds like he's struggling for breath.

Or Dave's leads sounding louder than the other guitarists

Dave has his new book on the way. Called In My Darkest Hour.

Poor song title choice as on the same album he could have picked Liar and it would be a better fit

"I had Cancer, Lars and Dave JNR didn't have Cancer. Needless to say I had the last laugh".

Even cancer can't stick around near him for too long

Great song, in fairness...

Ah you're all harsh.  Megadeth have been wonderful for metal, peace sells, so far so good , rust , are top tier records. Legend.

Don't disagree with this part at all. Some of the greatest metal ever recorded. In excess of 30 years of scutter from him since though and he has all the gold medals for talking shite and lying in interviews.

Indeed, those three are the only decent albums they (he) have. Each of the subsequent albums has on average one or two decent songs each (apart from Risk, that's just shite) and they're just not worth bothering post-RIP. KIMB is also shite.
