Speaking of which another awful case there in Kildare where the young man was followed after words were had on a bus and assaulted and killed. The scrote that did it photographed laughing leaving court. He got the standard 5 years with 25% off for "good behaviour"

I listened to the victims dad on liveline today - harrowing. No justice for them, as they said their sentence begins now.

The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre has been concerned for some time at the increasing use of hidden cameras, spy glasses, pen cameras and other covert recording devices to secretly film women and girls without their knowledge or consent, says the organisation's chief executive Rachel Morrow.

One of the young plaintiffs said she found out about the imagery after she received an anonymous message on Instagram pointing her toward images and videos, including her high school yearbook photo, which had been altered to show her in sexually explicit actions and full nudity.

The material was being shared on a Discord server, a private chat space on that platform, and included similar imagery that had also been altered using Grok of at least 18 other women who were minors, according to the complaint.

Seriously, should we just build more prisons or age based variations of prison?

I don't know what else would be proposed when you have young lads fearless of the consequences.

But the same lads won't give a fuck if they have to go off on retreat to prison every now and again either so what honestly can be done other the wringing of hands and the gnashing of teeth?

Was reading about the cost of running the young lad prison earlier and the amount of staff required etc and it doesn't seem like it'll be much use to just lock up more lads but what else is there?

What was different back in the day that made young lads more fearful of doing shit stuff, or am I just imagining that they give less of a fuck now because young lads in cities have been robbing cars and burning them out since time immemorial

Not if you go by their fb posts...their perfect, "harmless" little "angles" - it's sickening really. One put up a post of a photo of one of the sons in someones house stealing 

The population growth of the past 10 years warrants a new prison, overcrowding is an absolute joke now and that had a knock on effect in terms of assaults within prison and people not serving any time. No one should have 100+ convictions, you ain't gonna rehabilitate someone at that stage. The garda that got suspended etc regards those 3 criminals getting crushed by the truck on the n7 in 2021 should have been rewarded and given a medal, instead now we have gardai that will never risk anything in fear of their careers/lives ruined, a force that is shrinking relative to population size, not adequately trained or resourced.

Also, how hard is it to have a dedicated team of Gardai (even non Gardai) setup to gather video evidence online and arrest these low IQ scumbags before they do in fact injure or kill someone? It's not that hard to find these posts online.
