Whatever it is just be careful not to offend as someone on here got very triggered over me posting this story due to the identity of the perp.

This Ogilvie case continues to perplex and intrigue me. Seeing next to nothing about either man's histories anywhere, where normally, if there were any dirt at all on a migrant attacker, it'd be all over the place already. So we've loyalist networks who had a long-prepared hit list of residential and business addresses they wanted to target (and then did target during the riots), info the PSNI had been made aware of before the facts, and then we have a victim who not only has a massive previous convictions list but also previous conflictual history with... loyalist networks. So were those networks happy to just wait until a sufficient justification happened and then act on their target list..? Or is it even possible that a certain level of orchestration was involved..? The former is more likely, but the latter would make a better season of Slow Horses!

Still no news circulating on how this altercation came about between a Sudanese immigrant we have no other info on and a man who, in 2020, already had 161 previous convictions, including several violent offenses (https://www.belfastlive.co.uk/news/belfast-news/man-allegedly-wrecked-covid-19-18832880). Really does show that if the tabloid press and "independent journalists" don't see an angle that serves their own divisive ends... crickets.

I am all for 100+ convictions cunts getting not-strictly-legal "justice" but what happened here was psychotic barbarism. A fella like that has no business sharing the streets with regular citizens and certainly has no place being in a civilised country. He is a perfect example of someone not compatible with western society.

Despite the temptation, given precisely where in "western society" it happened, I'm not litigating on that aspect, just highlighting again what's obvious: in a reversed situation, the victim's enormous criminal record would have been the hottest news on the tabloid and "independent press" circuit, and as a result we'd have been inundated with speculation about what the victim "probably done" to instigate the altercation, etc.
