This is savage. Down 1995.

Haven't seen this at all so just hoping to remind myself with a comment.

Actually, is there a bookmark thing here anywhere now I think of it?

Quote from: Pentagrimes on February 29, 2024, 07:48:15 PMWell. Now. This has immediately become my favourite live video by some distance. Black Death Cult live from January this year featuring some..eh.."unorthodox" instrumentation. I'll say no more, just watch. Im actually in stitches.

It's absolutely brilliant and I dunno if any of those lads involved ever hit those heights before or after it.

Well The Great Southern Trendkill but that's about it

NOLA is the best thing any of them have done I reckon. Well, maybe Cowboys is up there. And some Crowbar... and...

 yeah I know what you mean

Disclaimer: not a video, audio only:

Was looking for a decent video of Slayer's 1992 Donington performance and didn't find one, but this audio remaster is excellent so it's going here. Bostaph on drums, I think he'd just joined but it sounds immense:

There's the Headbangers ball from it.
And of course The Almighty get a feature interview from the missus

I watched that at the time, Slayer were absolutely hammered. "Nail 'im up!"

S.O.D. "Live At Budokan'. Pure gold. Well, aside from the fucking Nirvana cover.

Noisy, sloppy, often amateurish, daft as a brush, and fucking GLORIOUS in it's raw, unrefined heaviness and irreverence.

And you say what you like about them, but they had some fucking brilliant songs. There are a lot of more accomplished musicians and critically acclaimed acts that don't have any tunes as enduring and memorable as the best songs on those early Venom albums. And even the weaker ones are good craic.

And very few bands are as endearing or entertaining IMO. "Satan were a reet bad lad!"
