Of course, you understand that wind is primarily driven by temperature differences? Like, that's how and why wind happens.

Yes, I mean the intense heat in central and southern Spain is caused by temperature and therefore wind variations from Africa. It usually doesn't happen this early in the year. I realise now it looks like I'm contradicting myself, but I merely wanted to point out that it may simply be because temperatures/wind sometimes vary/are unpredictable, rather than blaming it on 'climate change' (the Al Gore/Greta Thunberg stuff).

The Guardian (unbelievably) covered the story with barely a mention of Teslas and solar panels.

The mean temperature of the entire globe is rising. That's the bottom line and that includes Africa and any winds coming from there. It may be that these will have been the hottest days for all of 2022 and that there won't be any severe heatwaves in July, August or September, but even if that does turn out to be the case, it's not just that this heatwave was early; several all time maximal temperature records have just been beaten in France and Spain, so even discounting the time of year it happened, in certain places it was the hottest they've ever reached. The idea people need to get into their heads is that the weather we just had for the last 5 days straight may, in 5 or 10 or 15 years, be pretty representative of the norm from June to August. And the folks in India have been getting it way worse. As soon as climate events like they've just had start stretching out a bit more in time, people are going to start looking north in droves.

I looked him up after posting - the name was trending online - he's playing in gaffs that are normally reserved for the likes of The Cure and stuff.

One look at him in his hat and fringe was enough for me to know he's a gowl.

Liked by gowls who wear Celtic tracksuit tops over striped shirts to weddings and funerals.
