All the fawning over Nevermind and it's 'genius' on the various op-eds written by clueless hacks since yer man and his court case is wrecking my head. Is it a seminal album? Maybe, and I did love it and rode the arse clean off it as chap, but the H&M shirts, Grohl and the retrospective and cynical mickey sucking taints it.

"yer man and his court case" have little to do with it, a bit of anecdotal and silly colour. It's 30 years old, that's why it's getting all (prob too much, dunno, haven't read a word of any of it) the attention. Comparing 1991 to 1961, it's interesting to note how few albums of 61 were deemed important 30 years later. Course, by the mid 60s all that had changed, but there's only really a handful of albums each year prior to that which would make it into an "essential" canon of (loosely defined) popular music. Nirvana are still a phenomenon with young people today, much more so than Elvis was among young people when his stuff was 30 years old.

Beatles are probably a better comparison but I get the point.

Haven't seen anything for Nevermind being 30, apart from one pop up ad for the new edition. The Black Album has been fucking everywhere though

Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp all down, which is no harm TBH.

Vodafone also down now apparently, which is intriguing - and a maseive pain in the arse for customers, I'm sure. No link between the Facebook 'group' and them, as far as I know.

Really? I don't watch live TV much (does anyone any more?) but on the All4 app the add pops up every few shows.

It's nearly always one of the ads before I watch something on YouTube too - that and fucking Mail Chimp. I guess it might be down to the fact that I watched the new BBC documentary on Nirvana's time in the UK and a few other grunge things recently.

There's a huge Metallica billboard for the re-release on my way home alright.

I haven't seen anything re nevermind turning 30 other than here. It would be an improvement on the Centra ads in between every song on YouTube

Could it be due to the cover model suing? It's looking like the cover is gonna be changed according to grohl.

Jesus fucking Christ that's some of the stupidest shit ever. That can't be really going to happen surely

Nevermind turning 30 was everywhere for me.

I had the worst dream last night, like a 0 out of 10 for imagination dream. I was wandering around my own boring kitchen, in my own boring house, my own boring cock in my own boring hand, trying to but not being able to think of anything to wank about. And that was it. I'm firing my subconscious mind.

Have any northerners got their 100 quid card yet to spend in the high street?

I hear people are buying 100 pound Amazon vouchers in Tesco and spending the money online.

Is there a way to post a picture here? I haven't a clue

We don't want to see your cock
