I've got an all round ear for music boyo....

Since I'm in full immersion mode with Dune at the moment, I've been listening to this on loop. Far and away the best thing Toto ever did, by a country mile... it's hard to even make sense of the idea that Toto composed this music, but there you go. This is the pure score version; no speech samples or anything from the movie, so absolutely perfect for reading or working. Unfortunately though, for reasons mysterious to me, Eno's Prophecy Theme is missing from this version. Anyway; get yourself to Arrakis!

Gonna give this a go. Was only talking about the Eno track with a fella lately. I haven't heard it but he was recommending it to me.

That's a Saturday morning favourite of mine. Great album....

Going to go back through your recommendations, keep them coming boyo.

I gave it a few goes when it was mentioned a good while back, possibly by Carnage. I found then it didn't have much staying power, but maybe I should go at it again and see.

Myself and Carnage were chatting about Mushroom alright. He's got the vinyl.

Nah, like months and months back, not just last week.

Way back in May; way, way back, in the pre-BLM world!

In line with the OP, Mushroom, Aongus MacAnally's psychedelic rock band from the '70s. I have the gatefold here, it's a mighty album.

Aha, did have a scroll back but didn't see that.
Cracking album.....

It is indeed. Very of its time but sure that's no bad thing.

It's snowing outside and I have the Mushroom album on now. Transported to another time and place. Will be sticking Robbie Basho on after this. Bliss.

Any recommendations for a style of guitar playing that I can only describe as 'Jimmy Page-esque'. Robbie Basho above is an example: primitive guitar is how they describe him. I suppose an ethereal, mystical sound is what I'm talking about. Any suggestions more than welcome.
